:D  Apart from Stu changing his mind about lack of pace at the back (maybe Sammi got quicker  :D  ) it's alarming to see that almost two years on the other area's highlighted by Stu are still a problem .

Other than that, there is nothing to complain. Please remember we gave up 4 goals in one game against Chelski. Just need a CB to cover them and not wear them out too quickly.

I reckon Riise when fit is a fantastic LB with the ability to attack, but I feel that we are missing a top class RB.

Are you having a f**king giraffe? ???

Finnan is a top solid defender, he was great last year in the CL and has put in some quality crosses this year.

One of our most underated playes . Doesn't BURST forward like Riise but nevertheless does get forward and puts in some fine crosses.

:D  Not trying to trip anyone up ,it's just that I've been here long enough to remember that particular debate .Guess the point is that even though our perspective may change the one constant is that we all love LFC. The forum would be pretty boring if we all agreed on everything all of the time .

When was that from? Before Carragher moved into the middle with Sami yeah? Clever woofer, clever. Carragher was at right back then and i didn't see him as a problem.

At the time i said that, i meant to partner Sami.

Carragher was the regular right back was he not? :)

Well seein' as you want to take it seriously  if Carra was at RB then Henchoz was at cd ,if anything Henchoz (imo) was as quick as Carra and both of them were/are quicker than Sammi  (but not by much ,  :D  .)

I think we look good defensively especially since we bought a solid keeper. I think Finnan is strong defensively and therefore is a good right back and Jamie and Sami are excellent in the middle (but we do need cover because it will be a long season). I think Riise is neither an excellent defender nor an excellent left midfielder. He is somewhere in between the two which makes him more of a squad player. Traore and Josemi look good sometimes then awful others so they are too inconsistant to be relied apon.

I agree we have an excellent defensive unit, and they play well together but cover is needed. Now that we have finally started scoring, those clean sheets will go from one pointers to three pointers.
