i can't remember when it was (3 or 4 seasons ago maybe?) who it was against or who he was playing for...! but the scorer was clarence seedorf. he was out by the right touch line slightly ahead of the half way line and hit a shot that rocketed in the top corner of the net. think edman against us last season but 10 times better.

if anyone can remind me when, for who and against who i'd be grateful.

Owen against Argentina . What was he then 17 ,18 yrs old ? the way he went past Argentina's ruthless defence as if they didn't exist and stuck the ball away was incredible .

he was playing for Real Madrid at the time, don't know who it was against though.

Maradona's goals in the 86 World Cup, against Belgium and against England were exceptional. He was taking on top players (Belgium were an excellent team back then) and he made them look like pub footballers.

Adriyv Shevchenko got a hat trick for Dynamo Kiev against Barcelona in the late 1990s at the Nou Camp and the goals were of the highest order.

There are so many good goals out there, but Maradona's 1986 goals were the best, given the opposition and the stage.

Another volley worth a mention was scored by Mark Hughes against spain early 80s in a friendly(i think)his foot is about 2 metres in the air when he volleys -if you blink you would miss it .
