Not good news guys, Simon Jones is out of the final test starting tomorrow, this is the bowler that managers to get some action out of the old ball which brings potency to potential Aussie breather period and see's off the tailenders, and we know how frustrating they can be. I'm worried, especially as McGrath could well be back.

I am over in australia at the moment for a wedding this weekend. Wow i've really missed the cricket coverage in the papers and on tele.

Pontang is almost already conceding, i can't believe it. I reckon Border and Waugh should slap him. Never see them admit defeat or even consider it, before the end.

I am hopeful the rain stays away, because we can win this test. Not sure when i can post again, but if this is a rain delayed draw or defeat (to australia), congratulations and enjoy the parade.

If it stays dry and we win, sucked in !!! the ashes will stay where they belong. :p

but seriously i cannot remmeber a more entertaining series !!

Good luck to England, our team were too cocky and too complacent and even now seem to be talking the talk without backing it up.
If the game is a washout we have no one blame but ourselves for being in this position and rain helped us in the drawn game so cest la guerre
Been a brilliant and entertaining series and best thing to happen to cricket in a long time

England have got to play exactly the same as they have in the last three tests, and Australia won't be able to live with them.  The toss will be important though.  If England can win it, bat first in today's sunshine and post 400 again, it'll be very difficult for Australia to win it.

BTW Isn't it funny how the press are turning on football at any opportunity?  When England won the Rugby Union World Cup they were pushing the idea that Rugby Union is better than football, now England are doing well in the Ashes they're pushing cricket instead of football.  I wonder what would happen if we won a game at lacrosse?

:D

I just hope we can get to at least 400 with our 3 remaining wickets, forecast is rain later and we could lose a session today, weekend is not looking too bad though.

What a spell by Flintoff ay? Australia lost 8/90 odd this morning and Flintoff was the catalyst with 5/38 in hs 18 over spell!

the man is incredible, best cricketer in the world at the moment IMO, such an asset for England.
