i heard that aswell.

fergie said he wanted to bring in a player who would "hit the ground running".

didn't know he was a fan of heskey.

Buying Owen doesn't add up, Rafa said that he was selling Baros not cos he's a bad player but because he needed funds for a centre back and right midfielder so surely he hasn't got £10m-£15m for Owen

Of course Rafa is going to say that Baros is a good player, if he said that he was a bad player then other clubs would take advantage of that.

If we buy Owen then the money used for him would not affect the funds for a CB and RM, thats what has been reported

its not just about the money paul c, it is also to do with baros' abilty or lack of ability as if we weren't then we would be trying to sell any of our strikers to generate funds.

paul, the money is available from the board for MO, regardless of the baros issue.

I wouldn't believe that in a second, fergie is well adapt at putting in a bit of reverse psychology in the papers
