i just caught the end of play today and that ball was a jaffa, totally unplayable. though strauss helped by almost walking back the pavillion trying to play it. that`ll go down with his first ball in ashes tests, the infamous one that got gatting out.

I dont watch cricket TBH, but I was reading in the Independent the other day that he says he had created a 'new' technique that he was gonna unleash in the series. I assume that bowl you are talking about is one of his 'new' style deliveries??

he`s had shoulder problems and tendon problems in his hands in the past few years has warne and the general concensus was that he couldnt get as much spin on the ball as he used to. apparently he`s modified his technique with his coach jenner to account for these injuries and he looks in very good nick. he`s even bowling googlie`s now which went out of his repetoire when he had his first shoulder operation years ago.
i know he`s an aussie and i know he looks like a beach bum cum surfer but the man is a genius with the ball in hand and has one of the most astute cricketing brains of all time.
he is a true sporting genius and a master at his craft like maradona or michael johnson.

Prediction time; England will knock 350ish, Tressy to reach a century, Pietersen 0(he's brill but I've just got a feelin), Flintoff to dazzle with bat , Aussies set 450 target but Flintoff stars with the ball as well and skittles the Aussies.Headlines in the paper....The New Botham! :O ?

Good first session today from Aus. some bad shot selection in the top order, great bowling from lee and warne. Pietersen desparately unlucky, ball hit him three times but missed glove or bat.

There will be a result be end of sunday i reckon. wish aus were bowling last. nevermind

Full credit to the english team, played with heart and commitment. Flintoff was outstanding. Hope this results stops all this rubbish about england being outclassed. can't wait for old trafford, comoon warney!!

That Edgbaston test (i know its not over yet) was the best test match i've watched for many years.

I think maybe Bell might be in trouble. Jones and giles did well. Harmeson deserved more wickets.

Hayden, gilly need to sort their sh!t out.
