No wonder this clubs falling apart.

once again stu claims it's the fans who are responsible for the lack of direction from the management and lack of conviction from several players. It's the fans who bought the wastrel players that now infest the squad, the fans who spent in excess of £100 million in 5 years.Yes it's the fans that have turned this club into a mid-table scrapper, happy to play for a 0-0 draw hoping we may just sneak a goal.

Paul Walsh : Striker (1984-1988)

Date of Birth: 01-10-1962
1st team games: 112
Debut: 18th August 1984 v Everton (N) Charity Shield: lost 0-1
1st team goals: 37
Other clubs: Charlton Athletic, Luton Town, Tottenham Hotspur, Queens Park Rangers (loan), Portsmouth (twice), Manchester City
International caps while with Liverpool: none
Honours with Liverpool: First Division Championship 1985/86, Screen Sport Super Cup 1986
Birth Place: Plumstead

He was voted PFA Young Player of the Year in 1984, the year Joe Fagan signed him for Liverpool from Luton for £700,000. He took just 14 seconds to score on his home debut against West Ham in Anfield's first game of the 1984-85 season.
But Plumstead-born Walsh, a gifted striker who had won five England caps during his career at Kenilworth Road, was destined not to win another due to a series of injury misfortunes during his blighted Liverpool career. His various enforced spells on the sidelines totalled more than a year.

But he did collect a championship medal under Kenny Dalglish's management in the double-winning campaign of 1985-86 when he had the impressive output of 11 goals in 20 League appearances. A year earlier he scored twice against FK Austria in the European Cup quarter final but lost out on a hat trick by missing a penalty.

After scoring 37 goals in 112 Liverpool appearances he joined Tottenham for £500,000 in 1988 and collected an FA Cup winners medal when he went on as a substitute in the 1981 Wembley win over Nottingham Forest. Later he played for QPR on loan, Manchester City and had two spells at Portsmouth where knee damage ended his career in 1996.

Stu - get a fvckin' life. Support LIVERPOOL FC for a change, no one man is more important than the club, Houllier is no exception.

As for the comment about ex-players - kettle calling pot....... Thos players were great for Liverpool, what made Liverpool great. All Houllier has done is take us up a small hill and down again, collecting a few half-decent trophies on the way. At least those former players cared passionately about the club, then and now, if Houllier did then he would have stepped down by now - all those he's criticised would have

Owzat i support EVERYTHING about LFC.

EVERYTHING!!!

Personal vendetta's don't come into it. I support whoevever plays, whoever manages and whoevers on the board.

Just because i don't agree with everything a manager does doesn't mean i won't stand by him. Its called LOYALTY.

I suppose Houllier is rounding on the ex-players, because he believes they should be supporting the club, rather than knocking it.  However, it's there for us all to see, ex-player or not.  Liverpool are not performing.  It's not good enough, with the money that has been spent and the talent that is there.

Since winning the 3 trophies in 1 season, we have slipped into mediocrity.  If it continues much longer, the world class players will hunt for success elsewhere.  I don't like calling for management changes, and never have before.  However, what more can Houllier do?  He spent loads "improving" the squad in the last 2 seasons, and overall we seem to be weaker.

No i wouldn't.

When the manager has done all he can then its time for a change but i don't go shouting my mouth off. Houllier has more to offer this club... even if its only to take us back to where we were a couple of years ago.

This is the worst its EVER going to get so get some perspective. Houllier is probably the thrid best manager in England and one of the top 20 in the world. Unless we can find someone who can DEFINATELY take us forward i don't see the point in changing.

What about O'Neill?  I am willing to give him a chance.
