Crouch:

2 - 2.5 million - okay
3 - 4 million - that's pushing it
8+? - Southampton's out of their minds.

Watched Sydney Govou a few times and in my opinion would struggle to adapt to the Premiership

I just want us to sign some people. I know the Reina deal is 99.99999999999999999999999999% done but everything else is a bit hazy :sleepy:

From Teamtalk.com:

Zenden close to Reds switch

Liverpool are reportedly closing in on Boudewijn Zenden after the Middlesbrough winger revealed a wish to play in the Champions League.

Rafael Benitez has so far played his cards close to his chest in the transfer market but the 28-year-old Dutchman, who is available on a free transfer after failing to agree a new Riverside deal, could join soon after he becomes a free agent on Friday.

Reds boss Benitez is keen to sign players with Premiership experience and former Chelsea star Zenden - also courted by a host of clubs on the continent - fits the bill.

Zenden has also been tempted by the lure of European football next season and his father told the Daily Post: "Money is not an issue for Boudewijn," he said.

"Where the club stands in terms of Champions League or Uefa Cup is really important.

"He is a free agent on Friday, but we expect to be able to announce something early next week."

Funny you should mention Duff, I heard yesterday that Duffs name was floating around the LFC Admin dept yesterday. Inside info reckons he's in talks with LFC very soon.

I just ignored it as yet more rumours.  ???

SAM Allardyce has responded to speculation linking Stelios with European Champions, Liverpool, by revealing he plans to offer the Greek international a new contract.
The Wanderers boss says he is not aware of any interest from Anfield in the 30-year-old winger, despite strong rumours in the Greek media that Reds boss Rafa Benitez is lining up a 1 million bid.

But he confirmed that Stelios is on a list of players he regards as "valuable assets" and whose current Reebok contracts are under review.

"I'm not sure what Liverpool are doing, but they seem to be linked with everybody at the moment," Allardyce said.

Wanderers chairman, Phil Gartside, has already issued a "hands off" warning to Liverpool, insisting Stelios is under contract and not for sale, even though the player's representatives have suggested they may be in a position to trigger a get-out clause in his three-year contract.

Now Allardyce has gone further, revealing that Stelios is one of five players he is hoping to tie up on improved deals this summer.

Reina, Militio, Zenden and Kuyt if completed in time will all be unveiled on Friday.

Also Gerrard will have agreed his contract so he will be there as well.

My source, ME, I work in and around Anfield and I have seen documents on it and also these players other than Kuyt who will have a medical in the next 48 hours have been there.

hope that bolton manage to keep Stelios so that we can use the money and buy someone younger.

I know that you'll tell me that he might be like Gary McAllister but not everyone is McAllister as well !
