Im an Australian, and a proud one of that. But I am a Liverpool supporter. And a much prouder one of that! This article in the local South Australian rag, The Advertiser (a subsidary of News Ltd) is disgraceful. The patriotism shown for Harry is ignorant to the fact that most Australians don't get to watch the Premier League (not even highlights anymore) due to Pay TV rights. I do not agree with this article, and have been a long supporter of Harry and his injuries. Everyone on this board knows this. But the Champions League final was the last straw. I was so disapointed that Harry cried injury, and was so deflated as to come off the pitch. Then watching him sprint towards Dudek and jump up and down on the presentation stand, then holding the cup as he did a lap of honour with his team mates, made me furious. He didn't deserve the medal after wasting Rafa's faith, and sure as heck doesn't deserve the kind of attitude expressed in Australia's media. SHAME ON YOU AUSTRALIA!  :veryangry

The Australian media is a :censored: joke, and Kewell is an "aussie tart" in my book. They were more worried about Harry being "injured" than Liverpool winning the Europena Cup ffs.

:censored: the Australian national team and Harry Kewell, Liverpool FC is by far and away more important.

Every nation is concerned about their key national players.
Australia has Kewell to watch over, we the Poles have Dudek. But You've got to be clearminded about this and not to miss their faults by pure nationalism.
Kewell's sh.t for me, and what he has done at the final is disgrace and I belive he should go.
As for Dudek - I'd like him to stay at Anfield but I realise that we need more consistent keeper. So I wish him to go to a good club, and to stay in the memory of Red fans.

And  :bowdown for stinger as an Aussie to make such a post :)

if you were injured (even slightly) after 20 minutes, and thought that your performance for the rest of the game would suffer why not get subbed off. I think that this is bullsh;t
Even if he can sprint over to Dudek to congratulate him, that doesnt mean that he is fit for the remaining 110 minutes that were played.
i have strained my groin before, and i couldnt change direction at pace for 2 weeks
So his straight sprint doesnt show whether you are fit to play; what if he couldnt change direction or kick the ball properly.

Give this boring topic a rest, Rafa will make the decision and if he goes, Rafa can decide whether he deserves his stop on the team or not. Personally i still think that he can offer Liverpool a lot if he can stay out of this bad run of injuries.

Also i am not trying to play devil's advocate here

Mate, you got to drop the patriotism, and stop listening to the tripe fozzie and Simon Hill feed you on The World Game. your listening to ppl that probably don't see the games that Liverpool play when Kewell is not in the lineup. They are a biased bunch of w@nker$, hell, Farina is seen as a God in their eyes. To me, this issue is NEVER going to go away, until Kewell gets sold off to Germany, because as far as I'm concerned, he simply IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH to wear our colours. I really don't give a rat's @ss if he really injured himself on Wednesday night (Thursday morning our time) he is injury prone. All I ever hear and see about Kewell in the headlines is "Kewell, Injured, Again". Drop the patriot act, and start thinking like a Liverpool supporter, and think whats best for our club, not for Australia.

If you still think about whats best for Australia, why is Viduka still playing?? We are not getting into the World Cup Finals with these ppl in our national squad, and with Farina in charge, Australia are in dire need of  :help

Sorry, I've defended this guy for long enough. If you're seriously injured, fix it. Whether that means surgery and an extended lay off period or not is beside the point. He is doing no one any favours by playing 18 minutes and limping off hanging his head. I have been one of his strongest supporters in the past and I would like nothing more than to see him perform at his top level in a red shirt. But my patience is not only tested, it is exhausted, like many other LFC fans. Pack your bags Harry, this place is really not suited for passengers.
Oh, did I mention I was Australian?

I have to say I really felt for Kewell. He looked like a real crushed man when he came off, someone who had nothing to live for, if we hadn’t won the cup he may have gone home and hanged himself he looked that depressed. Worst 18 months of his life cumulating with him having to come off in the biggest footballing occasion in his life.

No one forced us to pay him £60,000 a week or what ever it was so there is no point people raving on about that, I have always believed that he has a genuine physical injury. He, Houllier and Rafa all have made a mistake, he should have had this problem properly treated ages ago.
