AC Milan reveal Gerrard interest

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard
Gerrard hints at Liverpool future
AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti would be interested in signing Steven Gerrard - if the 24-year-old Liverpool captain decides to leave Anfield this summer.

The two teams meet in the Champions League final on Wednesday and Ancelotti told the Sunday Express newspaper: "Steven Gerrard is a great player.

"Right now he is a Liverpool player and I am not going to upset Liverpool by talking any more about him.

"But it will be different if he decides in the summer that he wants to leave."

Ancelotti added: "He is undoubtedly one of the best midfield players in the world.

"Of course, any top club would want him in their side. I like him very much - he is a wonderful player."

The midfielder recently hinted that he might stay at Anfield and is set to discuss his future with chief executive Rick Parry in the summer.

But Gerrard has repeatedly been linked with a move away from Liverpool - and there has been continued speculation that he will sign for Chelsea.

Mind games as usual by the opposition.

just like the good old days when the giants of europe want our players.
hopefully by the time rafa`s sorted the team out with his own players they`ll want them all.

Mind games for sure. Why the hell would a manager start talking about players that he would want from his opposing team?

Hopefully, Steven realizes that people are trying to use him.

If anything, Mr. Gerrard should have realized by now that no other club suits him like LFC.

all he's saying is that he admires gerrard, whats the big deal? note the bit where he says he WON'T talk further about it? stop being a bunch of drama queens - there's plenty of interesting stuff to tallk about.

I think that reveals something more sinister than simple admiration.

Ancelotti simply trying to distract the player and :censored: off Rafa.

Even if they did want the player and he was available i don't think they could afford him. The days of Italian teams outbidding everyone else in the transfer market are long gone.

Well all the talk About Stevie G going here , there and everywhere hasn't distracted LFC all season so what harm will it do now.

He's simply stating the obvious , that a player of his calibre and standing would be more than welcome at his club.

No big deal and a bit of an over reaction to be honest ....

Well, from a bookies point of view gerrard is still 4/7 to be chelsea player next season and 5/4 to be with liverpool. Hes 12/1 to join milan, and in the 20s to join one of the spanish outfits.
Luis Garcia has also already wished Gerrard all the best if this is his last appearence for the liverpool so sorry but i think he is definately going.

Bookies are not often wrong but i hope this time they are.
