Moyes - Everton are better than Liverpool

“There's no denying Everton are the best team in the city this season.”

Of course they're better than us. They've been finishing above us for years and will continue to do so... ???

They've won a lot more cups than us, and have been highly successful in Europe.

Personally, I think it will be good to have 2 big teams on merseyside again, like the 2 Milans!

At the end of the day the reserves need to do better - then we could have 2 strong teams on Merseyside again - Liverpool and Liverpool reserves!

First time in 22 years they have finished above us.
And they consider 4th better than the Champions league final. :shifty

Anybody know what teams will be in qualifiers - will scottish winners be ? (Celtic would give them a good match, neither much goo though), will Dutch runners up be in qualiers - I'd like that.

well....its a pretty lame response by moyes to the "there are only 2 teams in merseyside...liverpool & liverpool reserves".....

Fock it. Which is better.......? 4th place (and eventually getting knocked out by a 3rd rate eastern european team) or winning the champions league  :buttrock

Its in the premiership where they will suffer big time next year.  Moyes has kept them motivated this year to clinch the 4th spot after Rooney moved to United declaring he wanted to play champions league.

Next season Everton won't have the resources to compete in the premiership after playing on Wednesday nights.

Fair play to Everton, better team than us in the league this year.

Still, all taunts of "Champions League, you're having a laugh" and Everton slagging us off because they finished higher than us in the league are a tinsy winsy bit inappropriate given that we're in the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL! :blues:

Table doesnt lie, but we have played 18 more games than you's dom plus had a full team full of injuries all season, plus a new manager and new players, next season you will find out about playing in europe then the prem, the f.A. cup the carling cup and then lets see.
