An undying tribute to my beloved Liverpool Football Club....
Regardless of how the final 4 games of the season turn out, this has been one hell of a remarkable season. Never had i (personally) felt so much passion and emotion, not even in the treble year of GH's reign... I want to pay special tribute to these following ppl and occassions that have brought so much to my life this season...
1> Carra ~ he may not be as slick as ferdinand, may not score as many as terry but for my money, hes the best at what hes supposed to do most.. and that is to defend.. really been a brick wall this season, a true revelation. Passion, committment and top notch attitude all rolled into one, roll model of the team and by far the most improved defender in EUROPE, let along the primiership.
2> Stevie ~ thankyou stevie, for all the great moments u have instilled in my life this season. may not have hit top form in recent months but cant deny his roll in our progress this season. He put me to tears with that rocket against Olympiakos and have so many times inspired his team mates to greater heights..
3> Biscan ~ lesser men would have melted into a pile of poo but not Eeeegor. right now im not talking abt his skills and flair on the pitch but im talking abt his attitude and professionalism. honestly, has anyone heard even a whimper of complaint from this guy? given all the stick he has been getting for the past few seasons, Eeegor has really come of age. For me, what he has achieved this season has already surpassed all his other seasons combined.
4> THE DEFENCE ~ hyypia, traore, finnan, risse ~ guess they have really showed this season (especially in the champs league) what they are capable of. Fat Frank and co. couldnt get anything past them in 186 mins.. players like traore and finnan have really proved themselves and delivered the goods when it mattered this season. Does Risse have 4 lungs instead of 2 ?
What a season this has been.. cant remember any other season in the past 10-12 years that i have felt so much passion and emotions following my beloved football team..
instants like stevies goal against Olympiakos, Mellors rocket against ******-nal and all the other european games will go down in folklore, such is the rich history of this club. And the best thing is that...... this is only the beginning. Roll on Rafalution, with Rafa at the helm, I feel that we can beat ANY team in the world. This guy makes a team worth 200 mil in talent look ordinary with astute tatics and just see what he has done to players like carra, biscan, finnan and traore just to name a few..
Roll on you REDS, bring on ****** this weekend, break out the kebabs in Istanbul. I cant wait....
