Was appalled to see the midfielders passing back to the defenders
defenders passing all the way up to the strikers and the strikers losing the ball to the defenders,,,,over and over again,,,
reminds me of last year,,,,,

when we pass and move we have possession and create more chances on goal, any striker needs that service,,,,,

It's pretty simple, 4 defenders against 2 strikers, why would we bother firing the ball all the way up field with such a poor ratio,,,?

Funny you should mention this.  Did you watch sky sports saturday this weekend?

They had statistics on which team in the prem played the most long passes.  Bolton?  Everton?  No, ****** well us!

Why?  In my opinion we have no midfielder apart from Gerrard (and Alonso though he's still out) who is comfortable about receiving the ball to feet from the defence and trying to create something.

Garcia can be superb, but other times can't help but lose the ball. Nunez and Riise prefer balls into channels rather than to feet.  Kewell is the man with the ability to carry the ball but has done nothing.

We badly need a playmaker who can link midfield and attack.  Be that a wide player or a second striker I'm not sure, but this is something we have lacked since as far back as McManaman (and I'm not saying resign him coz he is finished)

We have missed Alonso greatly and I can not wait to see him return.

As much of a fan as i have been of Baros, he's cost us 4th place.

A 3 week suspension when we've got so many injuries and players out, may prove to be the one hurdle too much for the club.

He owes us a goal in Turin.

don't know but our away form could end up costing us 4th place. we have taken less points away from home than any other team in the top 10. that just isn't acceptable. we have also lost 6 our 9 league games immediately following a european game. :(

i said last week that if i had to have a bet on us beating juve or man city i would put it on juve and i was proved right.

Chances are we'll bounce back but its a dissapointing result considering everton won 4-0 and moved four points clear of us again :(
