Liverpool vs man.city - Predict the score

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Scottbot » Tue Feb 10, 2004 11:43 am

This is a game we simply have to win. It's a game City simply have to win so it will probably be a draw! If we can't beat a City team who haven't won a league game since the dawn of time then i really don't think we stand a chance of nicking that 4th place spot.

I reckon we will get the win we are so desperate for. Stevie to be the star of the show (again) and Mikey to get a couple of goals. I seem to remember the last time he was on a barren run he got a hat-trick against City. Same again please!

3-1 to the Reds (Owen and Gerrard to score)

After the draw with Bolton I have lost all confidence in our ability to get the fourth spot.  We'll just have to wait until next year *hangs head in sorrow*

Liverpool must be one of the hardest teams to predict at the moment. Man City haven't won for something like 11 games so we shouldn't lose. I reckon we are due another win, but the way we're going at the moment another draw is quite possible. I think they're without Anelka (?) so their threat should be reduced.

I'm gonna be bold.

Liverpool 5 Man City 1. (maybe 3-1 but i like the 5)

Stealing me thread idea yer ba#ta#d lol.

Nar... am confident we'll do em... gain the confidence to go on and claim forth spot. The players are back and match fit... all thats lacking is confidence now. When Owen hits form and the defence gels back together we'll start to see the real Liverpool again i'm sure of it. :)

We lost to them last sunday in youth team, it was 4-3, their goalkeeper scored in injury time!!!!

I go for 3-1, it will be nice to see Mickey Owen to score!

I was hopeful agaist bolton and predicted a 3 - 1 victory for us, and on the balance of play it would have been a fair result, but I just can't explain what happened.

We have been playing well since the second half against Newcastle, this has coincided with Heskey being out of the team, trust me this is not a coincidence.

The Bolton game has deflated me, and I am wondering whether we will go on that much needed run in order to cement 4th spot.

In terms of the Man City game, it is a hard one to predict, with out Anelka they will be seriously weakened. I'll go for 2/3 - 1 to Liverpool.

Man City were without Anelka and down to ten men when they came from 0-3 down to win 4-3 against Tottenham. Tottenham drew at Anfield and beat us at White Hart Lane so the omens are not great.

Still, Man City haven't won in ages so there's always hope. We always seem to lose or draw games we ought to win so there's always hope for them
