Footie game classic

I was looking through my collection of footie games and I noticed a game that's quite a few years old, "FIFA 99". I decided to play it and see how it is since I haven't played it in ages and it has to be one of the best classic footie games out there.

Apart from the graphics[at the time it looked great but now it obiviously looks horrible] the game is fairly well. The gameplay is average, not really too much of a challenge but the music and the features are excellent for such an old game.

I played a couple of games with non other Liverpool and it was sure fun breaking Arsenal into pieces with a squad from '98, so if you are interested in classic footie games then this is the one you should purchase.

Top game, Sensible.

My mate had it on the Amiga 1200.  Spent ages on that.

You'll find it on the net but you'll need a decent joystick to play it as it involves more frantic wrist action than Paul C in a sperm clinic.

I've done the same thing A.B. I was bored once so I tried out old footie games so I connected my Nintendo 64 and put in Fifa 98, it kept me busy for an hour or so. I rememver Fifa 99 on Playstation 1 was quite good aswell.

I recall World Cup '90 on the Sega Megadrive.

It was Kick Off rebranded. :D

Got myself a Playstation 2 joypad for my Simpsons Hit and Run game for my PC (basically GTA with Simpsons characters).  Would that do for the Sensible Soccer game?

Try it Johnny.

I had an old joystick with a steel shaft ( oh matron  ) and that was the only thing strong enough to handle Sensible Soccer. Excellent game.

Sensible soccer is the only footy game I've really played, my brother-in-law had it for his amiga about 10/11 years ago

Used to play sides like Glentoran and beat them about 20-0     :D
