I was tempted to post a Bolton win last night but I decided that would give too many people an opportunity to have a go at me.  You could say that a draw was more than I expected but really I was hoping for a win even though I feared we'd get beat!

Did you see their second goal? I'd have lost my concentration with a decision like that aswell. Also a point to Al... when i was having a go at the team (and Hamann and Riise in particular) the other week about not taking quick set peices.... theres your result. When do you ever see Liverpool score like that?

Bolton are the most improved side in england and a good team who are also on a bit of form. They held Arsenal (arguably the best in the league) to a draw at home and beat chelsea away so they aren't pushovers.

Not a bad result... not a great one. Performances are definately improving though and as soon as Michael and Harry are back on form i'm convinced we'll start turning these draws into wins. :)

not to bad. We should have won but we played well, we created chances and when owen comes back on form if we keep creating those sort of chances we will get some joy. This is one of our biggest problems though, i think today if we had owen on form we would have won comfortably. This is why we need another great striker. Its gonna be touch and go for forth but i still believe we will get it.

Not bad wise up!
Where have all your expectations gone?

If your happy that Liverpool draw with Wolves then Everton then Bolton then I think that shows just how much Liverpool fans expectations have slipped.

I remember when we used to get annoyed when we lost one game or drew one game Houllier really does have a good spin doctor system.  I think perhaps that most of those who except mediocrity have been fans since Souness.  Therefore I suppose this cr#p is a step up. For people like me and oldredeyes its f##king s##t!

i just think were not far off premiership winning quality. Look at our squad, its got some real good players in it. if our first 11 if it was fit the whole season could win the league. We just need to get a new right midfielder, a fast center back and a forward. Get rid of some of the wasters and i honestly think we'd give a strong push for the title. The top three have better overall squads thats all it is, its the only difference. Chelsea are far ahead of us in the league but look at there first team, player for player there not better than us. If our team stays the way it is and we stay clear of injuries it will start to gell and you will see the results improve and we will get 4th.

Columbia, I agree the squad is a good squad.  My point is that any idiot including me could pick out good players. Getting them to play like Man U or Arsenal or even Chelsea is a totally different matter.  mWe are so far behind and truthfully. Bobby Robson s streets ahead of Houllier so is O'Leary and Curbishley. Give anyone of then the keys and they'll win more.

But I only mean that as an analogy please don't give them the keys.

Like most people in this forum, I am disgruntled and dissillusioned with life at Anfield, but lets not allow this to cloud our judgement. No matter what anyone says, Bolton are decent at home, and a draw is an OK result. Lets not let our feelings re: the bigger picture influence our opinions on this result.

Well done Liverpool. Decent result.

At 1-0and 2-1 you feared the worst but LFC are definitely a better stropnger team with the players backfrom injury.Bolton are indeed no pushovers and have had arguably their best season ever in the prem. We wil lstart to win games soon starting probably on Wednesday against Man City but we are entertaining at least for the neutrals, even if for a reds fan its agony watching then create chance after chance only to squander./.......Walk on ...

Al thats boll##ks. I'm sorry but this any fool can buy good players malarky is just f##king nonsense.

If that was the case and Houllier is as bad as you make out why didn't Robson pick up one of the worlds top 5 or 6 centre halfs for £3m... why hasn't Curbishley or O'Leary done this? for f##ks sake look what O'Leary done to leeds... if he is such a genius he should have prepared for that happening. Why didn't he win a cup treble after 3 seasons in charge of a club that was going absoloutely nowhere?

At the end of the day its not about playing fancy dan football. Its about winning.

When we had moderate sucesses over 2001-2002 where you one of these calling for different tactics? Yes or no?

I didn't read anything you wrote then but i bet a pound to a pinch of salt you were.

Expectations are to finish in the CL places... that is not poor... its realistic. Next season with the right additions i will expect a SERIOUS CHALLENGE... nothing less will be acceptable. Its not easy to get up there into that bunch but we aren't far away. If it was easy we'd all be doing it, but as long as i continue to see my club moving in the right direction in terms of players and tactical play then i will continue to back the manager.

I wouldnt blame Oleary for whats went on at Leeds ...and i think Curbishley has done a far better job at Charlton with buttons to spend that a##hole Houllier with millions to waste!
Be realistic!
The cup treble yeah wow amazing!
aye next year ,then the year after then the year after that..heard it all before man
