In Pennent you have the ultimate gamble. He has a huge number of off field problems, but as he has shown for Birmingham he also has a huge amout of skill.
He could easily be the answer to all our right side problems, a quick, skillfull, technically gifted player who can open up defences. That added to his cost and age, and the fact that hes available would make him seem the ideal player. Maybe he has realized his errors and just needs a new environment to prove himself. He always had a huge spotlight on him from a young age and let all the glamour go straight to his head.
He has been punished at ******, and maybe with the right manager could mature and achieve his potential.
He defo is a risk, but so was Cantona for Manure.
What do people here think?

Pennant is almost certainly facing jail. He already had a driving ban when he crashed Ashley Cole's Merc.

I doubt he'll be playing much football next year.....maybe seting up a few goals for Lee Hughes on the prison team. :kungfu:

I also heard that Pandiani was signed after the transfer window. Birmingham claimed that when they were attempting to fax Pandiani's papers the fax machine crashed so they were an hour late but seriously why whould you only having one fax machine for the whole club?

If the FA punishes Birmingham for this then Pandiani's goal against us and Soton may not count.

This is just what I've heard here in the States.

it still dnt matter if they take the goal away from pandiani we still lost 1-0 then..gray scored

Yes but the outcome of the game could had been different befoere Pandiani scored.

yeh but that is no excuse AB, we were rubbish, Pandiani or no Pandiani and we deserved to lose.

I thought about Pennant during the transfer window but I doubt Arsenal will loan him to us. And why should we give one of our rival's player match practice and insight into our club. If he did well, it will only increase his value.
