Last time I was in the main stand I was singin and shoutin everyone was lookin at me as if Id just landed :alien: , I was fumin there was no atmosphere atall, that was the saints v Liverpool in december. But  went the chelsea game and was in the kop and it was brilliant there, I was still drunk and singin like I was in the pub   :D
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

This thread has some valid points but it is so full of self righteous bigoted views it becomes a joke.

Dapioneer you are so full of ****** it makes Roberts look intelligent.

The Atomosphere at Anfield began it's slow decline soon after we won the European Cup for the first time. The following season(77-78) saw 5,000 fans dissappear from the previous season but we continued to win trophies.By 1980 the Anfield attendance had fallen by 10,000 on the 1977 average and complacency on the Kop began to set in as we destroyed all comers to Anfield.Give the opposition a goal start was the cry just to give us a game.
The away games still had the buzz of excitement and continue to be that way even now. This is a "We're on a Day Out so we will Jolly well Enjoy it Syndrome".

The ooter connection to a poor atmosphere is a fallacy as their are enough local voices, and I include myself,to make noise.Never pigeon-hole a group of people on a solitary occurrences;it is the same prejudices that give rise to idiots claiming all scousers are thieves.

well said supersub.
and can i say as major hooter (i dont go to games, like the pub atmosphere, dont as why) me and my liverpool lot make more noise than anyone else no matter where we watch the game and the banter can be class even in a pub
(got the mancs at cardiff and the same pub we went to when we last beat them in the final, now tht was a day out!!!)

this whole ooter theory is complete b#llocks if you ask me. i've had a season ticket for ten years but i now live up in middlesbrough. however that doesn't stop me driving for two and a half hours to every home game. i've also been to three away games and will be in cardiff. try saying that's not a true supporter.
