Oh well......we took Burnley too lightly and paid the price for it. No complaints from me at all. We should have managed to come away with a 0 - 0 draw but Traore made a terrible mistake.
We certainly have a trend of making mistakes that cost us matches and not when we are winning comfortably.
Well now I am really mad. I dont often lose it but for christ sakes that was abysmal. I can take a defeat to United when we give it our best and all but Rafa has put us out of the FA Cup tonight. He may as well have taken a p*ss on the trophy before the kick off. Those guys just aint good enough. To think supporters have travelled up there not once but twice on godawful nights to watch this is beyond a joke. Rafa wants his ****** kicking along with some of the more senior pros who quite frankly where diabolical. The saving grace is that the hapless Nunez is banned for 3 matches. If Rafa and his staff think its ok to take a ****** in the FA Cup they are very wrong. They have made us a laughing stock this evening and its just not on.
Its all well and good saying that the players were not good enough in hindsight but they are the same players give or take a few that took us to the quarter finals of the Carling Cup.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing and its easy to criticise when things go wrong. Had we gone through tonight there wouldnt have been an issue with fielding the younger players.
The performance was awful in general apart from Baros who looked dangerous when he came on but thats a risk you take when you put out a weakened team.
We have to move on now and make sure that we turn Watford over at Vicarage Road. I am sure that we will put out our strongest team for that one.
i feel that was one of our worst performances for along time they wanted it more than us just like man scum game how many games this season have we only created 1 possibly 2 chances in the whole 90 mins its very poor, on paper we should of beaten them but as usual we come out second best.
Well.....the manager has made the team selection and he is obviously confident that those players are capable of getting a result.
Unfortunately it wasnt to be tonight and yes the manager is going to have to accept his share of the responsibility.
You cannot hold him responsible however for the performance of individuals as you can only do so much as a manager.
The players need to get themselves up for the game and make sure they put in a competent display.
That own goal will haunt Djimi Traore for a very long time and it is definately going to feature in a couple of future 'Own Goals & Gaffs' style DVD's.
