Spanish rafalution - Are all our spaniards good enough ?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Well...Im Spanish and even for us its a bit strange when we r continuosly hearing from new spanish signings in LFC, though on the other hand I think its logical...Rafa knows this championship more than anyone...he studies every single player. Anyway...if it comes to rate their perfomances so far, I think Alonso is one of the last skillful creative players for the middle that still exist all over the world, simply great...I hate Camacho just for having refused to contrat him for my Real lol. Garcia is a very good player, he fights till the end of each match, really skillful,...but here in Spain everybody said his only defect was to retain the ball too much, but every supporter of Barcelona here didnt want him to leave. Nuñez has to get more selfconfident, here in Spain played very little at the highest level and i think hes still impressed by anfield (id b too  lol) Josemi is a personal bet of Rafa, not very known here and...Morientes...ur gonna enjoy every single action by him  from right the very next Sat till 2008....

hey huck - i'm over here in spain too, in bcn. i was watching the liverpool v southampton game in a bar with an old spanish guy and he was asking me about what i though of the spanish players in liverpool now. he said to me that in spain everyone says about luis garcia 'como una gamba - todo buena, aparte de la cabeza'. you heard that one before?

Outrageous!! He should do 'em for slander. Either that or he should say 'thanks very much!' They've probably got a point when you think about it. Having said that er..... what does it mean Andy?

'As a shrimp - all good, aside from the head'.  - thats what it translates to.

probably something like, for a small guy, he is good apart from heading.

Not very good in the air?, mentally unstable, an ill-advised haircut or perhaps the trusty old all-three combo?

hahaha...i had heard that yeah...and i agree it can be applied to him...sometimes he should be colder and think, that way he could take advantage from his skill...anyway...i think his position should be more central...i think benitez took him to be his personal Aimar in Liverpool. I think ull become happy with him at the end of the season.
Ah! bigmick, the translation for that is that he is like a prawn: everything is great except for the head  :D

what they're getting at is this:

he's very, very good but the problem is that his head isn't - i.e. he doesn't use his brain enough and think about the game.

jeez - it really starts to lose its effectiveness after a bit of translation and explaining. anyone got anything more to say about him in english? i'm fighting a losing battle with this one. :O
