Real to block morientes from leaving the club - What is this man?!

We are enemy
(it's easier now for you to say it, b4st4rd, after we gave you Owen with cut price  )

New Real Madrid manager Wanderley Luxemburgo says Liverpool are the enemy so he doesn't want to help strengthen the Anfield ranks by allowing Fernando Morientes to sign for the Reds.

The Spanish striker has several options on the table to consider including a firm offer from Liverpool but it's starting to look like he's taking us for a ride. Rafael Benitez is tired of waiting for a decision so it looks like he will start considering other options within the next few days with Nicolas Anelka a possibility.

"I do not like reinforcing the rivals," said Luxemburgo. "If Morientes was going away to Liverpool we are helping an enemy.

"I want to speak personally with Morientes to know how he is and what he is thinking. Later I will meet the club and we will decide the best thing for all."

Morientes's agent Gines Carvajal - who is currently in England - said: "We have asked the club for a rapid decision. The opinion of Luxemburgo will be decisive in the future of Morientes."

The new Real boss seems to think highly of him and have mentioned he is willing to give him the chance, which he yearns. Wanderlei choose Morientes over Owen, which is already a sign of things to come and what an inspired performance Morientes gave. I don't think Wanderlei is going to let go off Morientes. It seems that he is more willing to trade off Owen. A pity though, Owen played well but was constantly neglected, kinda feel sad for him.

This can go 2 ways; either Morientes choose to leave Real and place his faith in RB or he continue to warm the subsituite bench for Real. I don't think the new boss will allow Morientes to leave for just 10 million.

RB has great influence, I believe, given time, he is able to bring players with quality and repeat these feats;

Ohh the super cup... You can't blame me for missing out one or two cups, I guess Liverpool won so many cups over the years that I got confuse. As for the spelling and grammer thing, lets be nice yah. Liverpool has fans all over the world and not all speak English, if not proper English.    :;):

OWEN & BAROS UPFRONT, isn't that great?

If Owen does come back, I wonder will it win over the majority of the fans? Baros has mature upfront and it will be a mouth watering sight to see Baros partnering with a striker of Owen's quality.

I don't mind if Real sell Owen back for, perhaps 4 million pound? We would get to gain a 4 million profit, isn't that fabulous? Real would be really stupid to make that deal and Liverpool is doing smart business. And that I believe, would keep Steven Gerrard at Liverpool.

Cos Owen has more pride than to say he needs a new challenge and then come back to us with his tail between his legs when he fails :;):

In football, anything is possible. If Owen does come back, I really hope majority of the fans treat Owen the same as before. Yes, Owen hurt us when he left for Real. But if he has the guts to return, what does that show?

1) Owen realise that he is a better player and more loved at Liverpool then anywhere elsa. And so, he will be more determine to prove himself again.

2) Liverpool fans, unlike others are gracious and forgiving ! We believe in giving second chance. We would gain admiration from others, fans and players.

3) We, Liverpool fans would enhance the image of Liverpool pride and notion of 'We never walk alone' and building on this, top notch players would feel a senses of pride and endearing at Liverpool.

Lets take the positive approach for once.

I don't think it matters who they bring in at Real - Owen will score goals as and when he gets the opportunities. I figure he will have a couple of years at Madrid before coming back to England.

I'm still pretty positive about Morientes coming here. He has already come out and said he wants to play for Liverpool and Rafa has confirmed this on several occasions. I'm sure all this stuff from Mori's agent and Luxembargo is a smokescreen to get more wages and a bigger transfer fee.

Give it 2 weeks an the lad will be lining up with Baros and banginig in the goals.

He said he wanted to join LFC but that was before Luxemburgo joined and now he may have the chance to get football with Real so the situation has changed a lot.

Beni still remains confident :)

The Spaniard also believes there is still a chance of signing Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes.

Benitez said: "Everyone in Spain is on holiday at the moment, but I believeafter the weekend that we will have some positive news.

"Morientes is still a possibility."

It could be that  they want to buy this Robinhio and so need to sell a player . They would earn more from an Owen sale , but  am i right in saying that a player cant be sold twice in one season ?

If as has been  strongly rumoured , they do go Robinhio then Madrid would have 5 strikers !  no.1 is Raul , no.2 Ronaldo or Robinhio , no3  same as no.2  ,  which leaves Owen and Maurientes vieing  for 4th  and 5th in the pecking order......Owen cant be sold intil the end of the season , they need money................so they sell Maurientes

Think of the money  each of these strikers earn each week
on average 100,000 quid a week each !

thats  0.5 million a month for 5 players when only  2 can be used at any one time
or 26million a year !!!!  , they have to sell to get their man and Madrid cannot sell Owen  yet , so the best option is Maurientes , Raffa knows this he isnt stupid .Madrid are holding out for more money .........again
