What sets Liverpool apart from almost any other club is our sense of identity, about who we are, where we've come from, what we represent on and off the field. Personally, I'm not touting Morgan as the saviour, but if - as it seems clear - Moores is on the verge of selling up, Morgan would appear to care more about the club than the L4 group.
Look how quickly Houllier spunked tens of millions on a squad that stalled two years ago. I'd much rather have Morgan's 35million and spend it wisely, keep a brit owner who's a genuine fan, than get 100m in from an American group with no genuine ties to the club.
