This is a story i have just seen on another site
In what has to be one of the most unlikely transfer rumours of the year, Liverpool will reportedly try to sign Bolton’s Ivan Campo during January’s transfer window.
Well that’s according to The Daily Telegraph, who claim that Liverpool would offer El-Hadji Diouf and £600,000 in return for the services of the former Spanish international.
While Campo has been deployed by Bolton as a holding midfielder, Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez apparently views the good-looking 30-year-old as cover for Sami Hyypia and Jamie Carragher in the centre of defence.
The Telegraph reckons that an opening inquiry from Anfield has already been rejected by Bolton, with Sam Allardyce urging Campo to see out his contract at the Reebok until 2006, but Campo is thought to be keen on the switch.
How keen Liverpool fans will be is another matter altogether.
