Yup even thought his finishing was poor, his work rate is what we need. Would've been great to add squad depth. Nunez worked hard compared to many we've currently got. On free was a no brainer.

Joyce saying earlier that we are done with incoming players.  Tbh I dont think we have the money to do what needed to be done anyway.

Iraola is gonna have his work cut out trying to get a few to up their levels this year. Id have major worries about both full backs and that midfield still doesnt work. Its only 2 games in I know but its 2 games we ended up chasing a draw. We need to tighten up and stop shipping easy goals.

If that's the case then we're going to be screwed. Iriola has a hard task ahead of him, going be an up and down seasons for sure.

Fixing our issues is going to take a good few windows. Lets just hope we do see progress.

Meanwhile a deal is apparently done for some 18 year old goalie from Belgium. €35m, the most expensive teenage goalkeeper ever. I was hoping we're gonna keep Alisson but doesn't seem likely.

Don't know how a goalie is a priority instead of a DM though.

I don't know if the club have noticed but we are in a bit of trouble right now, we could have easily lost our opening 2 games and thats coming off the back of a season bad enough to get a title winning manager the sack.
We conceded a record number of goals last season and our response to that this summer has been getting rid of Konate and Robinson, bringing back Kostas and signing Araujo on loan [Jacquet was signed last year].
Now Jacquet and Ronnie look good but has the clubs response to a season of shipping goals like they are going out of fashion gone far enough, even Ronnie seemed like an after-thought and a response to fan pressure. As you say mate 35m on a back up to our back up goalie when we are playing Dom at right back seems to be like fiddling while Rome burns.

Well all done now, soo Cammara went to Chelsea hmm..However I dont think his the defensive "fabinho" type we require. His more like what we have in the middle already, Mac, Grav etc..

Just seeing on sensational sports news that Camara to Chelsea is off. Wonder what happened there.

Anyway bit of a sh1t window for us. Didn't really address any of the real issues. Balance is even worse with no recognised RW while we hope and pray our RB can get back soon so we dont have to suffer Frimpong there or Gomez for the few minutes he will actually stay fit for. At least we have the same wet bag of a midfield though.
