Minteh will be injured until November if I recall. We signed an injured Isak with no preseason and now we'd be doing a similar mistake.

I really hope we pull out of this one, Munteh ain't even all that, his just pacey and that's about it.

I agree I'm also not too keen on Minteh, but we pull out of the race for Diomande, we pull out of Barcola and now Minteh too but we still need someone. We're either in the market for a winger at the wrong time cause I've not liked any of the targets we've had so far tbh, or maybe we're just trying to get the wrong players. Which is why, although I'm not a fan of Gakpo, I'd rather we just kept him for this season and hope that better wingers are available in the next transfer window.

I'm not sold on Minteh myself, I'd play Gakpo on the right so instead of coming inside all the time he'll go down the line, he's got a decent shot on him but instead of shooting at goal i'd tell him to fire those same hard low balls right across the face of the goal, tell him to aim for that corridor between the edge of the six yard box and the penalty spot and get midfield runners arriving in the box.
One thing Cody does better than Rio is work back, Rio is like a young Mo he's not really interested when we havent got the ball, unfortunately defending is half the game.

Now apparently in talks for Ismaila Sarr at Crystal Palace. He always seems to do well against us.

Decent player but feels like we are having to go down out list of targets for that right hand side. Looks like Barcola is the one target we are stuck on now and intent on getting in while the other one we are flexible.

I mean it seems like desperation at this stage. I think Sarr will be 29 next year aswell so he's not exactly a long term project. But I think i saw Brighton wanted £80m for Minteh which is a ridiculous price! At this stage id rather us get Barcola in and then try and spend the rest of the money on Camara from Monaco.

Sounds like Palace won't sell unless they get a replacement lined up.

Really is a ridiculous market at the moment. Think some of the fees players have gone for really has pushed prices up. Likes of Anderson to City and Diomande to Madrid going for £120m odd after only a good season or so behind them really had pushed prices up.

Been a strange window by us. We were poor last season and with 1 week of the window left we don't look we've resolved any of the major problems. Saying that, I think we'll eventually get Barcola over the line. Then it's one for the right side and a midfielder but right now feels like we are throwing darts and seeing what sticks this late on in the day.
