That's a hell of a lot of money for a benchwarmer, we do need players in though and if Gakpo is 70m i suppose thats just the way the maket is.
Isak, Wirtz, Barcola, Rio, Munoz .....with Ekitike to return, does sound good though i must admit. Pity we couldnt have got Darwin back, we are deffo going to be a bit light in the CF position for a while, even when Hugo returns we are talking months and months before he is anywhere near being back to his best.

Both Barcola and that other lad Mbaye weren't in PSG's squad for the French Super Cup yesterday (while both were on the bench for the UEFA Super Cup) so I assume one or both are near a transfer to us. Can't say I'm happy with either tbh, especially not for the money we're paying for Barcola.

That Greek lad Tzoliz that Arsenal bought looks like a decent winger, and they got him for something like £40m. That's the sort of players we should have been after.

After watching Gakpo jog around yesterday, and Rio being so far from the finished article I'm delighted we're bringing in both the lads from PSG. I think Barcola will be a massive hit here. I remember having the same doubts with Barcola as I did with Salah. I watched Salah a few times before we bought him and thought he was all pace with no end product.

With good coaching you can teach end product but you can’t teach speed. Speed also causes mistakes by the opposing defenders, causes players to get double teamed, causes opposing managers to rearrange their team to defend against it and speed opens doors for other players. We need more speed in the team in any case. Obviously the amounts we are talking about are insane but since I’m not paying I say get the best we can.

Liverpool 'agree terms' with Mbaye
Liverpool have reportedly agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain star Ibrahim Mbaye.

According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, the Reds have reached an agreement over terms with the PSG forward, with a five-year contract agreed.

As a result, the report claims that Mbaye no longer wishes to sign for Bayer Leverkusen and is focused on a move to Anfield.

I guess it is time for him to find a different club, never managed to play at a level we needed him to. With the crazy sums being thrown about on players these days I would have expected we'd get more for him but then again he's got only one year left on his contract.

I wish this meant that we're going to sign a better quality midfielder but it's probably just going to be Nyoni replacing him.

i wish Curtis all the best, he was part of a title winning squad which given the comptativeness of english football we have only achieved 20 times in our entire 134 year history. Nothing to be sniffed at that. He clearly loved the club, we saw that at Goodison when he went after that Everton player who was about 3 times his size. That will go down in LFC folklore that little scrap. For whatever reason it hasnt quite worked out but all the best anyway mate, you'll always be welcome at Anfield and you achieved something arguably the greatest player in our history, Steven Gerrard, never did, as i say you are a scouse lad who got to not only play for Liverpool but win the title with us, that makes you a hometown hero.
All the best to you and your family going forward and see you back at Anfield when you hang them up. Ta ra pal.

If this is true, I think the club will need to invest heavily in psychiatrists and counsellors. For him, and for the rest of the squad. Because what I've read about that kid, he's simply baths!t crazy...
