Players have poor season's for all sorts of reasons, i even remember Gerrard being out of sorts once for a prolonged spell, it happened even back in our 70's and 80's heyday, the club didnt just over react and sell them though.
Ibou may not be the best CB who ever laced up a pair of boots but he's a lot, lot better than average, he already played week in week out in a title winning team and his best years are still ahead of him. In CB terms this new French lad and Leoni are not even kids they are babies, they've not only never played against Haarland or Kane or Christiano Ronaldo they haven't played a single fvcking premier league game between the pair of them, lets be realistic here are we winning the title or CL with greenhorns like that playing week in and week out in our back line. Never mind Haarland we don't even know if they can handle Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The shirt may be too heavy for them.
Ibou knows the club and he's been a regular for years..with Virgil turning 35 and Joe G being both old and made of glass letting him go is a huge risk.
