Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Sun Aug 24, 2025 6:18 pm

Because we played on the Friday and our next games not until tomorrow [monday] it seems an absolute age since we last played, 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays have gone by since we last took to the field in anger.

Tomorrow the atmosphere will be toxic, them lot will definitely be up for it. Frimpong is injured so unsure who will play RB. Grav back, so hopefully there will be stability in the middle. Common red men smash these jokers.

I think it is vitally important we win tonight just to send a message and put this saga to bed, they will certainly be amped with high intensity tackling all across the pitch. Joelinton is a dirty player, watch him make hard tackles tonight.

Yeah, it's going to be a toxic atmosphere alright. The positive of this whole saga is that at least Isak won't be playing against us.

As we know Frimpong is out, Bradley has just recently resumed training and Gomez isn't at 100% to be starting. Slot said Endo might start there which would be by far the worst option IMO. Jones and Szobozlai are also candidates apparently and for me slightly better choices. Wonder why none of the 3 left backs we have available aren't being considered though. Not ideal but at least they're full backs.

I think what we need is speed and Endo is the slowest. Catching other teams offside was our thing and it really all depended on VVD moving up and all other defenders in step. Half a step is the difference between a goal ruled out and a goal. If Endo plays they will target him as the slowest.

Mac Allister also out it appears. Wasn't spotted with the traveling squad and social media is saying that he's expecting a kid.

Time to put these barcodes back into their box.

Im going for a nervy 1-3 to the mighty reds.

A goal will shut them up, but a bit  annoyed and worried that Grav is already booked.

Newcastle players falling over every time he goes near them.

Every touch is given as a foul for these, what the hell? Virgil rightfully complaining.

Way to many fouls for the game to have any flow to it. Pretty scrappy affair so far.

Just need to hold our nerve, Newcastle throwing everything forward and we should be able to hit them on the break.
