Gakpo and Jones doing eff all as well. May not be there with the frequency they are getting played through.

If we get organised, we could get a second before half time. Newcastle aren’t very good at the back.

He was out to hurt VVD there. But Newcastle had already lost their heads by that point, following that kick on Mo a minute earlier.

Totally deserved red, should lower down their intensity for the second half as well.

They were all over us in this first half but we defended well. Virgil and Grav were immense and I thought Szobozlai was fantastic at RB as well. He was clearly being targeted but did very good regardless. But Jones and Gakpo might as well not even played, they were invisible, and Konate had a few mistakes that Virgil had to correct.

All in all first half went well for us, hope we can see it through and not allow them to get revenge for our comeback against them when we were with a red card.

They were feeding off the crowd’s energy but since the goal and red card their supporters have gone quiet. We need to put this to bed with a professional display and no injuries.

I’m glad Gordon got red carded as he was leading the intensity and that was a very dirty tackle that could have caused a bad injury.
