Win this and we would be mathematically through, we could play the kids in the last 2 group games

Klopp has confirmed that Mo is available. I'd rest mane and play Mo, Jota and Bobby up front.

Yeah that’s a good shout, I’ve read somewhere that Minamino might start though, maybe with only 1 more win needed and 3 games to go Jurgen may think he can afford to rotate even before we’ve mathematically qualified. To be fair there’s a decent chance that the 9 points we’ve already got might be enough.

Barring a disaster we will definitely qualify from this group.

As it currently stands mathematically either Ajax or Atalanta could finish above us but provided we take something from both the next two games ( v Atalanta & Ajax ) we will qualify as group winners .

The CL is incredibly important to LFC from a financial standpoint. Hopefully we will win tonight if the same Atalanta turn up as the one we played in Italy. Ajax will almost certainly win tonight leaving them a maximum of 5 points behind us. If we chose to play a substantially weakened team in our last 2 games we risk missing out on top spot. That situation should be avoided at all costs. Let’s get tonight and Ajax out of the way and if at that stage we are guaranteed top spot then we can play a weakened team which won’t  include that many kids given the strength of our CL squad.

Tonight should be straightforward but let’s face it generally speaking we don’t do easy. A repeat of our Leicester performance will do for me.

Not sure about this line-up but Klopp knows best. Let's win this and then we don't have to worry about the CL for a few months.

Not an exciting half, probably just the way Jurgen likes it? Letting the kids have a good run out and gaining some big match experience without conceding.

We are definitely missing the cutting edge that makes us so exciting and a nightmare for the opposition.

We should be out much improved in the second half, hopefully

My heart just smiled when  I see that we can call on Fabinho, Jota, Firmino and Robbo off the bench to change the game

Origi (and Salah) offered us nothing tonight...guys can now see that Neco and Tsimikas are leagues below what Trent and Robbo could offer, especially offensively

It was coming the whole game, they've been the more dangerous side. We must manage a draw at least from this one though.
