This has been handled very badly by Isak and it'll leave a bad taste in the mouth wherever he goes. If we get Isak, Nunez and Diaz will have to go - no option, imagine what our wage bill will be with the new players coming in - astronomical so no option but to shed Elliot and others as well.

Both Sadio and Virgil pretty much downed tools and went out on strike at Southampton to force their moves here, it happens.
It will be sad to see the likes of Diaz, Nunez, Elliott etc etc go but life and indeed football moves on, what's undeniable is that a front 5 of Wirtz, Salah, Ekitike, Gakpo and Isak if he comes [ably backed up by one of the most exciting young talents in the game in Ngumoha] will arguably be the best front line in world football and when you think it wasnt that long ago that the likes of David Ngog was leading the line for us how can we as fans be anything other than extremely excited. Sitting here as league champions being linked to the calibre of player that we currently are - i'm just scared i'm going to wake up and discover that it's all just a dream.
That long spell in the wilderness really feels over now. We truly are back on our perch now.

I think is still too early to say that, having so many new players gel in their first season is a big ask. If they do all play to their potential this season then we would be hard to top in both the PL and Cl. Considering the age of the team we should be competing for top honors for the next five years at least. I do worry about the defense and an over reliance on a one if not two players, we need to be proactive on that rather than reactive.

I mean, if the club sells Diaz, Nunez and Elliot and does not bring another attacking player they could do it. I would just be very surprised since they just got Ekitike for around 80 million and they really need at least one cb and sort out the Konate situation. I'd be ***** he starts the season with no contract signed and let him also walk for free.

I don't know how reliable is Fabrizio Romano these days but according to him Isak has rejected lucrative offers from Saudi clubs and only wants to join us.

Quite a few rumours Diaz deal has been agreed for £69m to Bayern.

Good bit of business, if true.

The need to flog off Nunez, Elliot and Konate imo. Nunez cause he isn't good enough, Elliot cause there is no way he will get any more playing time than last season and Kontate cause he wants to run down his contract. I'd be happy with one more attacking player and 1, preferably 2 more cbs. A new dmc would be nice but not a neccessity.

Nunez next please, Diaz is a good player but for his age this is a very good deal. Doubt we would get a better deal than this in a season or 2. His 29 in Jan so it was either now or never.

I suspect Nunez will go because we have a couple of young talents coming through from the academy that can provide the same back up support as Nunez for a quarter of the wages. Put the cash in (Newcastle's) account.

The club and Isak have agreed personal terms on a 5 year contract and we've started the bidding at £100 million. Popcorn time.

Couldn't care less about Newcastle, but the way Isak is behaving I'd feking hate it if one of ours did that. Coutinho did to some extent and we hated him for it.

Realistically, instead of all these dramas, clubs should discuss with a player who wants a move, come to a positive conclusion for both parties.

Issues arise when a players want out but club is somehow forcing them to stay.

I feel these situation should be dealt in a better way.

Club and player are at fault here, club unwilling to sell a player who wants to move and the player going on a strike, ruining the respect of fans etc...
