Madness not to pay for Guehi right now. Not just on the Konate/Gomez injury situation but we're also condemning Virg to play every minute of every game this season. Mad.

A lot of rumours about Diaz going to Bayern.

Apparently, we’ve told them we’ll take £70m.

Also links to Rodrygo to replace him. I think I’d happily replace Rodrygo with Diaz, I really haven’t been overly impressed with Diaz. He had a couple of moments but I don’t think we’d miss him.

Edit - PSG submit bid of 100m euros for Rodrygo

Diaz has done a good job but he's very one-dimensional, ie predictable.

This is my issue with him too, plays the same way and often gets sussed out by defenders.

I think we could easily improve on his position.

I think Diaz is very underrated. He spent most of last season playing out of position as a CF and still managed to be our second best attacker. But what I like about him is the fact that he's involved in almost every passage of play and is great at tracking back. Gakpo for example has similar output as Diaz attacking wise but is nowhere near him in every other area, especially defensively.

In any case, I'm not against selling Diaz for the right price since it makes sense from a financial point of view. He'll be 29 in a few months so if we want to get good money for him now is the time.

I keep hearing about Ekitike's link-up play but honestly we needed someone who can just bang in the goals and as far as I know Ekitike isn't exactly the best finisher. Didn't Slot say we need a striker that can properly finish the chances that he does get.

Looking at the stats comparison between him and Isak and they are very similar. Isak shaded some areas and Ekitike others. Most important thing for me is the chemistry of the team and no selfish personalities, it’s been our key to success. Klopp stopped obvious cliques forming by forcing everyone to speak English, I hope Slot enforces that same rule.

This is one crazy summer and a lot of the time I keep reflecting on the unfairness of Diogo and Andre’s tragic accident. A lot of us myself included have criticised FSG for not spending enough when we won the title and the CL and on occasions making poor decisions. However the support they have given to Diogo’s family says a lot about just how much they care.

Klopp built an amazing team that Slot got the very best out of and managed to win the league title in his first season which is something very few Premiership managers have achieved. Personally, I feel that the demands of Edwards and Hughes returning are centred around what we are witnessing now. The future even it is tinged with a considerable degree of sadness looks very exciting.

I think our owners are a class act and a safe pair of hands. Compare us to ManUre who fired the canteen lady that worked there for years to save money yet their owners still take out millions annually.

Strangely we are still being linked to him. I know we will lose and need to replace 3-4 strikers but besides the money it would cost it seems a strange one to have two very similar players.

I think we’ll end up getting him before the summer is out.

Nunez is probably off, along with Diaz. We’ve also got to replace Jota after the awful thing that happened in the summer.

We need 2 strikers.
