The only reason we're upset about paying £120 or £150m is because we're not selling anyone for that value and using the money as we did when we sold KK for £500,000 and bought KD for £440,000. Sell Diaz, buy Rodrygo. Keep Nunez for another season. Nunez contract expires end June 28, 3 mores seasons.

IF they were to sell Isak it would be 150+ million and anyone trying to make it not being the case is delsusional.

That may be true but that doesnt mean we should panic, this lad wasn't exactly Haarland in the Bundesliga and the prem is a step or two up from that, as i said in a previous post i'd rather stick with Darwin, he looks sharp as a tack atm and for all his misses we know because we've seen it with our own eyes that he can cause even the best teams problems, he just turned 26 last month as well so is coming into his prime, if age brings composure, if being that bit older stops him snatching at things we'd have a world beater on our hands.

Worse than the misses Yakka is all the times he stops a promising attack by getting caught offside, the misses are bad enough.

Really? Have we been watching the same player these past 2 seasons? Nunez is dross and a single preseason game vs mighty Preston won't change my mind. Nunez has the physical traits but he is, for a lack of a better description, dumb as a post. There is non way he will get 15 goals next season and we massivly overpaid for the donkey...

No one in our squad is dross, that squad of ours managed to do what the likes of Gerrard, Alonso, Owen, Fowler, Torres, Suarez, Mascherano etc etc couldn't do and win the premier league title. All those players i mentioned had chances to win the league but they blew it, when push came to shove and the title was on the line they couldnt do what the donkey did at Brentford.

"To my clear understanding, he is a candidate for sale for Liverpool and he has a price. Bayern Munich is informed about that and is in constant talks with Liverpool about Luis Diaz.
"They have had very positive talks with Luis Diaz and we also
have information that Bayern Munich has presented him with the idea of giving him a contract until at least 2029.
"So the most important as of right now is the agreement between FC Bayern and Liverpool. There was a first initial offer for around €67m and I am totally convinced that Bayern will improve that offer very, very soon.
"There is also concrete interest from Barcelona, but the problem is that they can pay the money for Luis Diaz, but they cannot register him and that is not very interesting for Diaz right now.
"So, if Bayern can proceed in terms of talks and negotiations with Liverpool, I am convinced that the deal for Luis Diaz can happen. Diaz right now is the clear priority, the No 1 target for the left wing."

Diaz is a tricky situation. He had his best season yes in a liverpool shirt and is on a sweetheart deal for 2 more years. He is 28 and a half years old and the club has little interest signing a new deal as he would probably tripple his salary. Diaz, or more correctly his agent, were dumb as **** and signed him to that deal and now he wants to get PAID when he is at his peak. So Diaz wants to leave as he would tripple his salaray at least wherever he would go which is probably where this is heading. If he wants to leave I hope we can flog him of to Saudi for maxium profits. The problem is to replace him. There is no way Rodrygo is worth the money Real is demanding as he didn't even make their world club cup squad.

Liverpool have reached an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt worth €95 million, including add-ons
Only minor details remain, and the deal is expected to be finalized tomorrow or the day after.
Hugo Ekitike will be joining Liverpool

Have to admit i'm a bit gutted about us bringing this lad in from Frankfurt for such a big fee, imo we could have put that money to far better use but it is what it is i guess. I can't shake the feeling that Newcastle have done a number on us and we've had our kecks pulled down though.
To be fair i'm only basing this on a cursory glance at his numbers and a couple of youtube video's so there's a very good chance my fears are completely unfounded, lets hope they are.

I am always hopeful, but it is a huge gamble compared to Wirtz. Frankfurt is not a top club, he has never been in the CL and he has had one great season. This could easily turn into another Nunez situation. I just hope we can convince Nunez and Diaz to go to Saudi for massive fees. And hen Konate needs to be flogged off and get in 2 new cbs.

I've only watched Ekitike a handful of times and I think he'll do well here. Hes good at holding the ball up, he's a ariel threat, he's a good dribbler/finisher, and he can play anywhere across the front 3.

The only thing that's frustrating with him is that he's very ball greedy in the final 3rd..

Liverpool have agreed a fixed fee of £69m (€80m) with Eintracht Frankfurt for Hugo Ekitike, with talks continuing on Sunday over the bonuses in the deal.

Sky Sports News understands the total package in the offer could rise to £78m (€90m), but talks continue over the structure of the add-ons.

Can’t say I know much about him. Probably paid half the fee Newcastle would have demanded for their striker.

Is he a replacement for Nunez or Jota?

I've always liked forwards who can hold the ball up with defenders climbing all over their backs, even had a sneaking admiration for Mark Hughes back in the day because of his ability to hold onto the ball in severe traffic. Nothing worse in a big game or a tight game where possession is hard to come by than front players who give the ball away cheaply/frivolously and then won't lift a finger to help get it back.

Well, at least now we can finally put the Isak rumours to bed. Never had a chance from the start
