Have to say although I questioned his signing I liked the look of Gravenberch, he was a bit lax in possession once or twice but there’s deffo a player there, guy is a bit of a baller, some nice moves to get away from players, like Dom he likes to run with it and drive at the opposition.

Good to see different players blooded, it's the start of a long season.

A lot of rusty players who haven't seen much game time and who hadn't played together much (or at all), so unsurprisingly it was a disjointed first half. We weren't troubled much and dominated the ball but didn't do much with it, and times quite easily handed it back to them. The pitch was cutting up quite badly which didn't help. We stepped it up in the 2nd half even before the subs and it was a deserved win. A lot of those players will benefit greatly from getting time on the pitch and will hopefully use it as a platform to put in a strong performance against Leicester in the League Cup next week.

Our next 2 games in the group are at home. Win those and we're pretty much through.

You can see the quality he has and he's a real unit too. Almost every first touch he takes is to try and put himself on the front foot. He's a progressive player in both his passing and the fact he looks pretty good at driving forward with the ball. And he's only 21. Really excited to see what Klopp does with him over the next year or two. Had to come off with cramp but he'll be better for getting those minutes yesterday.

Looking like a real unit. The strength in depth is incredible. Our ability to come back from a losing position is as much down to the tactical brilliance of Klopp as the tea. Confident penalty from Captain Chaos !! Mo once again showed why we told the Saudis to do one !!

WELL DONE REDS
