I know these are bored journos and will print anything for a click but realistically we can't afford to miss out on CL this season. If we do then we will lose players like this.

I’d be surprised. He is a born again Christian and there are no churches in Saudi. Religion tends to trump money. Mo I can see going as he and his wife will be closer to Mecca, Allison on the other hand would be a surprise to me. Firmino became a born again Christian but it was Allison that converted him, I think he is quite devout.

I will say that we do have an exceptional number 2 so if he did leave it would not be a total disaster.

I'd sell Salah for £60m - next season. He can say whatever he wants but so late in the transfer window he's staying put. He's still under contract that he signed recently and the club is still in charge.

'Neymar to pocket £275m as he becomes latest Saudi Pro League prize signing'

Neymar was a very exciting footballer at Barcelona but he sold his soul when he moved to PSG in 2017 preferring to play in a third rate leagur. Now he follows the money again to saudi. It's a shame, the lad could have been as great as Pele but fizzled out at the age of 25. Shame.

They bought him for 84m but they are paying him 120m a year, this is worse than Bosman. Power now is all in the hands of the players. This will skew everything in football for years to come. There will be every FA in Europe praying the Saudi league collapses.

How can any player turn down this type of money, it’s an anomaly so you have to strike while the iron is hot. If the players are happy in Saudi and they tell their mates then next year there may well be an exodus of all the best players. No team in the world is paying this amount of money.

Beginning of the end mate,

Salah will definitely go soon, my bet guaranteed next season.

Had a browse on their recent results was strange seeing Firmino their banging a hatrick lol.

One side has got Fabinho/Kante in centre and Benzema upto.

So players will be lured by the money and won't care anymore about playing in UCL.

They are literally living as royalty. Many players will be swayed by the Saudi league, this is just the beginning.

53M Lavia to Chelsea

Apparently he felt as being 2nd choice.

The numpty who is in charge of doing transfers needs the sack.

We really have come out of all this with egg on our face. It's so poor that we've gone into one of the most important transfer windows for a while without a Director of Football. Yes, we'll get some more players in but doesn't take away from the fact we've missed out on a primary target. Who knows, maybe they can still pull a rabbit out the bag and wouldn't be surprised if we did try for a big name but it all feels pretty shambolic at the moment.

Think those here who seemed to have faith in what we are doing this window and pulled up those who are questioning our business/the way we are going about things may need to open their eyes somewhat.

Whoever we get now will be our 3rd or 4th choice. Lost a lot of face in the last week, the image is tarnished.

Sounds like we are making a push for Doucoure from Crystal Palace.

Saying they value him at 70m, and I think they bought him last year for 21m

That bid for Caicedo has screwed us on so many levels
