Doesn't bother me if they win it either and do the treble. They have been good enough this year to go all the way.

They have been good enough because we were not there to challenge them, they only got 89 points and compared to previous years that is low. We were so poor against Real Madrid and so poor against them at the Etihad. I just hope they don’t win the CL as they spent so much on it and circumvented every rule about financial fair play, in essence cheated as they felt the rules did not apply to them. And even when they did get caught, they got a team of the best lawyers money can buy and out spent UEFA, no doubt they will try the same with the PL. it’s equivalent to an athlete taking steroids to get an unfair advantage and then hiding it from the authorities. They are a good team and do play nice football, but they got the team unfairly and now no one can compete with them, especially with the rules in place.

Anyway, onwards and upwards, it up to the football gods to make it right. Maybe Inter can bribe the refs

City are always going to be the team to beat once Pep is there and it's not them who caused us to drop out of the top 4.  It was Manure, Arsenal and Newcastle that did that with plenty of help from us.

Lost count of the amount of poor games we played in last season. So many losses and painful draws against teams we should be beating. That's on us and the squad we went into the season with.

I know they exploit loopholes Mate but that's on the governing bodies for not acting quick enough to stop it. Throwing money at titles doesn't guarantee anything as if it did Manure would have a few more titles along with Chelsea.   This is there 2nd CL final in his reign where during the same period we have been to 3.  We have consistently battled them in the league as well which was some doing if you compare budgets.  It can be done and could have been maintained if the squad was managed better.

I'm more pi$$Ed off that after a decade of stringent policies combined with massive success both off and on the field we don't seem to have money without outside investment.

Reading on Instagram that we signed Mac Allister, something like 55million.

Widely reported and quite a few journalists are saying the fee is somewhere between £45-55mil which sounds more reasonable than the £70mil that was originally touted. Would be nice if we can squeeze one more in before all the players join up with their international teams on the weekend but we might have to wait until the end of June/first week of July for more confirmations.

Alexis Mac Allister will sign for Liverpool from Brighton, subject to a medical, after agreeing a contract understood to run to June 2028. Liverpool are to pay the buyout clause in the Argentina international’s contract and will then turn to other targets to continue their midfield rebuild.

Mac Allister is due to have a medical in the next 48 hours. The buyout clause in his contract, signed weeks before he went to the World Cup, is significantly less than the £60m that has been mentioned. That deal has two seasons to run, with an additional one-year option for the club.

Other players on Jürgen Klopp’s list include Manu Koné, the 22-year-old Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder, and Khéphren Thuram, who is also 22 and plays for Nice. Both have represented France at junior level and Thuram got his first senior cap this year. Celta’s Gabri Veiga, another rising talent, is also admired by Liverpool’s manager but no talks have taken place for the 21-year-old.

Lot of reports today that Mc Allister is due to undergo a medical within the next 48hrs. Hopefully by the end of the week this gets wrapped up and we can move on.

He will be a good addition imo. Speaks the language and has already played in the league for a few years so you know what your getting. It's just whether he can deal with the step up and added pressure/ expectation that comes with it.

I think he was the calmer one of the two Brighton midfielder with a better football brain. If he is signing for us I’d bet you find he is a calm and humble man because Klopp seems to prefer that type. Looking at his demeanor he would probably gel quickly and might get more out of Nunez.

I’m so looking forward to a midfield that doesn’t include Henderson and Milner.

I don’t think we got to see Bajcetic playing alongside Trent and Jones etc in the new MF set up.
It will be interesting to see how that works out, there’s a lot of talk about us signing 3 midfielders but we may not need them

I thought we'd only sign 2 midfielders unless one of Fabinho, Thiago, or Henderson moved on. But it's looking increasingly likely we'll sign 3 and be heavily stacked in midfield next season. Not too much of a problem with Thiago going into the final year of his contract and Henderson only having 2 years left from this summer. Think our 14 midfielders and attackers will look something like this: Fabinho, Kone, Henderson, Bajcetic, Thiago, Jones, Mac Allister, Thuram, Elliott, Gakpo, Jota, Diaz, Salah, and Nunez. 3 goalkeepers and 8 defenders to make up the squad.

Thought Milner got way to many minutes this season and always felt that time should have went to the younger lads. Hendo I hope gets reduced to a few minutes here and there rather than him still being 1st name on the sheet.

Baj, Jones and Trent in a midfield won't be getting us back into that top 4 Mate. They would be walked over by most teams. Klopp has given them chances this season and imo most aren't up to it.  We could maybe get away with it in the early rounds of the Europa but not in the prem.

Our best stuff is played with Trent at RB. He plays that role better than anyone could so if we want to get back to the winning stuff we need to fix that midfield. Klopp has 2 seasons left so pointless looking to reinvent how we play in that time frame.

I think Thiago or Fab could go. If we bring in 3 and maybe 1 or 2 young lads going out on loan.

Dortmund confirm the sale of Bellingham to Real Madrid for a guaranteed €103m (£89m) plus a potential €31m (£27m) in add-ons based on the "sporting successes by Real Madrid and/or sporting successes or performances of the player at Real Madrid in the period of the next six seasons". Rumoured to be signing a contract equivalent of £250-300k a week.

FSG sychophants: FSG are geniuses!
So smart not buying top class players and CHOSING not to spend any money. Just hope they get some 18 year olds from Legue 2 to grow and develop by the club....

Plenty of room at Real Madrid mate, go support them if it's £100m+ marquee signings you lust after.
