I think Jones has been a part of the squad now for 4 years and still is bottom of the pecking order. The odd good game isnt enough imo to warrant a position at at a top club. His injury record is another concern as well. Bottom line here is he can be easily replaced with a younger player and the profit put elsewhere. Stick something in the sell on if needs be.
Morton would be coming in as back up to Fab. He might not be pulling up trees but he is getting minutes which is important. He at least deserves a shot.
I'm not against youth at all and do realise how important they are in making up the squad. Jones was 17 when he started breaking through and is now 22 and not only a squad player but last in the pecking order. I'd be saying the exact same thing if Elliot or Bajectic find themselves in the same position 4 or 5 years down the line.
“By the way, Tyler Morton in training, incredible! He plays as a No. 8 now,” Klopp said during a sit-down with the written press at Kirkby. "We don’t force him to play as a controlling No. 6 in a Premier League game. He’s training as an eight."

Morton doesn't play in Fabinho's position. That was a failed experiment. If he was playing for us it would be either side of Fabinho.“By the way, Tyler Morton in training, incredible!
