That backline is just too poor.

0 shots on target .

The starting wingbacks weren't offering creativity or attacking prowess and that really caused all sort of limitations . Nevertheless well done to Atlanta

Massive come down after the leicester match and not shocked that we lost either with that lineup.

You would think players like Origi would be waiting for a chance like this to get stuck in but no!! Plods about the pitch looking like he just met the team this morning.  Hasn't got the intelligence or desire to turn it around for himself either.  Not blaming him for the loss but he bugged me with his couldn't be arsed attitude.

Agreed.
Origi trading on past glories, he should've been sold when his stock was high after the CL final.
He's not the only one who was muck tonight though. Lots of people getting on Neco's back but he's still a kid and in a game like that where they were out for revenge, it was always going to be tough for him.
Others were equally as bad.

Jurgen has obviously got his eye on the big picture and decided to take a bit of a calculated risk tonight and rest a few but as we all saw it didn’t pay off, we still top the group though so it’s nothing disastrous.
God awful game to watch though, particularly that first half.

Well at least this game showed us who could stepped up and who can Jurgen relied on when we go deep into the season.

My heart goes to Taki tonight...but maybe Jurgen have other plans for him?

We only have ourselves to blame, the starting 11 simply wasn't good enough and no one decided to take the game by the scruff of the neck.
Atalanta played well and deserved to win, Liverpool ran around after the ball the whole game. It was a B team and they played like it.
Neco Williams at RB wasn't good enough, Rhys Williams at CB had a solid game but plays like the 19 year old, ie he has no presence.
Matip again no presence. Gini/Curtis Jones quiet games. Origi ran around like the sugar plum fairey and did precisely nothing as usual.
There were no characters on the field so no creativity, so I don't think it was a shock to lose, after 20 minutes it was clear we'd be lucky to get anything out of the game and sure enough thats what happened. Poor team selection.
On the positives, I'd rather lose this game than a league game.

I said before the game Liverpool don’t do easy!!

Disappointing overall result. The 60 minutes reinforcements really didn’t make that much of a difference. Atalanta did okay and will probably be just as surprised to win 2-0 at Anfield as they were losing 5-0 at home.Just another 2020 weird result in this Covid decimated year. And hopefully it won’t prove to do too much damage in the overall scheme of things ahead.
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years (10 years

Man City £307m (£1012m)

Things could get interesting next week though, if Ajax somehow manage to beat us and Atalanta beat Midtjylland we’ll find ourselves in 3rd position in the group. We’d have to beat Midtjylland at their place to go through.

Its looking like the Midgetland game will be at a neutral venue due to covid /mink issues in Denmark.
