Think he has been trying too hard to get into the score sheet at times

He just wants to score all the time and if he has even the remotest chance of scoring he seems to take it instead of finding a team mate in a better position, but we don't complain when it comes off.

Gomez looks absolutely brilliant with guidance from Virgil. Constant talking between the pair has been crucial.. Anytime Gomez moves too far up Virgil calls him back. If not for his injury last year Gomez could have been in the top 100 players in Europe.

I agree, very happy with how he is performing. After his injury I was worried and thought it may potentially ruin him. Given Matip is out I am glad Gomez has slotted back in nicely.

Was only thinking before I read this, he's not great at long passes, is he? A few he's tried tonight have been way too short. We haven't been caught out as a result, yet, but I think he's trying a bit too hard at the moment...

Klopp gets so mad on the touchline when we get into great positions and don't make the most of them

i was thinking that - last december before the injury he looked great. Van D could make Stephen Hawking look world class alongside him tho
