The more I think it the only logical move would be going for Mahrez..He is the perfect fit for this window their isn't a better option..Maybe Sanchez..Just do it already.

Think Mahrez is a good shout, deffo think the quality is there and he can only (surely ?) get better under Klopp .

There were rumours of Keita being able to come early for an increased fee. Leipzig boss though has said Keita is going nowhere until July.

All footballers are mercenaries, no one wants to come to us because they "support" our club. They do it because we provide them a paycheck, just like every other club.

Sanchez would improve us dramatically and at 29 is probably going to sign his last significant contract. We won't be in the same situation we were in with Suarez or Coutinho if he were to sign, so stop hating the lad because his South American. You English sure have a poor memory, already forgotten that club "legends" like McMannon and Owen were also mercenaries, our beloved Stevie G was also minutes away from signing for the blue kunts.

He would be an idiot to move to Manure the blue because he won't be assured a spot in their starting XI, while he just wouldn't fit in over at Manure the red. Where a front four of him, Mane, Salah and Firmino would be devastating. Add Keita and Lemar and we would probably have the best midfield and attack in the world.

Just a passing thought, if we had taken Sanchez in PX for Suarez, we'd be staring at the same situation as Coutinho, he'd be forcing his way out of the club. As eds says above they're all mercenaries, they have no honour, they're simply in it for the money. Sanchez is doing to Arsenal what Suarez, Coutinho did to us, Costa did to Chelsea and Neymar did to Braca. Who'll be next? Hazard?

Although I agree that all players are mercenaries, Sanchez is a different level. He had definitely downed tools and watching him smirking when he was benched last year when Arsenal was scored on and ended up losing the match is hard for me to forget. I would not want that attitude any where near the club, it's poison. Klopp seems to like players with more integrity and he seems to be the opposite.

I'm glad we did not buy him when we sold Suarez as although a very good player he is no way near what Suarez was, we certainly would not have won the title and as some have said, we would just be dealing with another player that wants out.

Agreed Yakka. Bring in Keita early and bring in Mahrez and this will really soften the blow. Out weakness is still the CM's so we will be really boosting the quality of the team by bringing in Keita early. I think that Lemar maybe abit of a reach but Mahrez is very possible.

Forget Sanchez, no way are we paying big money for someone who is 29. He's probably got about 18 months max left in him at his best before his footballing powers start to fade.

Griezemann would be a game changer, he could slot in where Phil used to play and do a similar job. He'd score a shedload (a lot more than Phil imo) in a system like ours as well so it would be a good move for him personally.
I'd actually fancy us for the title next year with our front 3, Griezemann, Keita, VVD etc
