Its a sign of Mancs inferiority complex that they have a go at our former legends. They have lorded it over us for a decade now, but deep down the fact that we have more silverware than them really bothers them.

they've also got short memories about other issues.
I distinctly remember an angry scotsman who kicks football boots, smashes crockery and throws pizza saying - he would have loved to have signed Fowler (the most natural finisher in the game(at the time) - but Liverpool would never consider selling to their oldest/fiercest rivals

I don't think they used to rant as much as they do now - they were more smug - It's definitely a sign of their demise plus as JBG said - they were never able to eclispe our achievements when at their peak

I remeber playing footie the Monday after the fowler goal against Everton, I scored a goal so I had to celebrate by sniffing the line, I got a laugh
