No doubt this complete scumbag will serve another sentence and be released on licence to commit another horendous crime. And that is exactly what will happen to the Rotheram gang as well. In many cases offenders will be granted parole after they have served half of their sentence and released on licence. A key reason why this system was introduced is due to prison over crowding.

McDonald is just one more example of how responsible members of society are let down by a legal system that does not do enough to help reduce acts of serious or petty crime. As Reg pointed out one of the reasons Singapore has a low crime rate is as much down to education at a young age and teaching respect for property and people. We desperately fail as a country in this area.
