Come on. Drop it all of you. This fights are pointless.

There's no need to make a drama out of this ban. It's not the first time it happens. It can be discussed and it will be fixed. No matter in what forum you write where's a ban or a thread lock there's always a debate about freedom speech and double standards. That's the internet for you.

Let's not make this little internet debates a matter of too much importance please. Probably most of the mods haven't read all this ban stuff, so give them at least a bit of time to enjoy their weekends, when we all discuss the matter we'll take a decission, in the mean time there's no need to fight between us.

Let's talk about football that's what we all came here for the first time we joined. Let's understand that this discussions are natural and let's not go too far in those.

That's the addess you should use. And FFS give the signature a couple of LFC touches!

Get a clue lad: your insights always elevate the level of discussion in footy threads tenfold.  Indeed, you make me think carefully about the state of the team and the qualities of the players in a way that few else can.

BUT...

You undermine it all by heaping abuse on all and sundry, which always leads to slanging matches, offensive insults and bannings.  It's such a waste.  I recognize that you have a hard time biting your lip when things get you wound but, FFS mate, surely you can count to ten before unleashing?  I don't expect you'll ever lose that fire but I hope that you'll find ways to vent it other than through abuse.

At your best, you're an asset to this board so make nice with the mods, keep your nose clean and maybe, just maybe, you'll help people take a more critical perspective on the strengths and weaknesses of this great club.

Upon further review I'm not happy with the tone of the above post.  My aim was to be more light-hearted than this and basically to express my frustration that a quality poster like Stu keeps getting into hot water for the way he addresses fellow members.  Instead, I've produced a post that sounds preachy.  My apologies, Stu.

It is not my intention to pick sides over this particular banning (not knowing, in fairness, what's gone on behind the scenes).  Rather, I want to urge all parties to look for a compromise: one that promotes both good discussion and general board collegiality because I don't think the two are mutually exclusive.
