2015/16 Other Scores Significant Or Not

The Premiership - General Discussion

See Man Utd. picking up where they left off, scoring a goal before even having an attempt at goal. They don't look particularly stronger than last year but that lucky star is still on their side.

2 more points than what they deserved
Not too worried about spurs this season as they will need a better attack than that if they want a top 4 challenge.

Chelsea were completely lucky on both of their goals. The red card was probably a little unfortunate considering Gomis kind of just fell over, but there was contact.

Well all in all, bar Man United, results this week have gone our way. Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs all dropped points. Especially enjoyed Arsenal's defeat, after the pre-season they had I expected them to start the season on a high but the game today was a nice surprise. Their big signing Cech had a real stinker and costed them the game.

Good week so far, winning today would be a great start to the season.

Funny all this talk the last few weeks has been about how they're genuine title contenders- the surprise team this year that will come out of the gate strong. I'm not saying they won't win the title, we're only one game in, but it makes me laugh to see them deservedly lose their first game of the season. At home. To a team that most say are just trying to not get relegated.

To be fair mate, West Ham are far from a relegation battle team. In fact, I think they'll probably fight for an Europa League spot.

West Ham turning Arsenal over is a bit of a surprise but I guess in some ways it shouldn't be. Billic's teams are always hard to beat and he does like to throw the odd spanner into the works (like when his Croatia side ruined England's chances of qualifying for Euro 2008 in the infamous 'wally with a brolly' game).
Considering how good he is i'm actually a bit surprised that he hasn't managed in England before now, given his relationship with Everton I always thought he might have gone there, just before his Besiktas side knocked us out of the Europa League last season he gave an interview to the Echo were he said that his days on Merseyside were the happiest of his career to date. The whole interview sounded like a 'come and get me' plea to Everton tbh and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up there some time in the future.

United getting a handly little deflection to put them 1-0 up against Villa, they really are the jammiest so and so's I've ever seen.

Have nothing against their goal but they should have conceded a penalty.

Jammy feckers won again 1-0. At this stage of the season getting points is a huge bonus regardless of how you get them.
