i totally agree with what your saying but i have got a feeling that this is how the American owners seemed to think that is how it is going to be done
We will struggle this coming season as we are in all competions league/champions league and so on lets not forget IF Saurez stays he will get a lengthy ban.

Exactly. I don't want us to be like ***** Arsenal. If all this media bullcrap is true then our owners seem to fancy the "top 4" trophy more than the actual trophy. Sh*t, it's starting to get to me too!

Anyway, why are we linked with Toby Alderwield, a player who struggles to get time for Atletico? He's an OK player but signing a top CB should be a top priority, so where's the logic in signing a bench warmer? Why can't we be linked with Diego Godin instead?

Sanchez to LFC is a done deal? How does that even make sense. Unless it was done before the WC, I cannot imagine this being done besides an initial `registering of interest', the kind of stuff we're usually into  :grinning:

Anyway, I hope we can pull this off! My god our attack would be jizztastic.

Taking Atletico's backup isn't that horrible of an idea... La Liga winners and Champions league finalists...

It's not like they had Real Madrid's bench though, Ethan. Atletico were underdogs for a reason.

For sure, The thing that impressed me for all 3 of his goals was his movement. He seems like he can read the game very well. Could be our left footed Coutinho

Tottenham are still keen to rival Liverpool's bid to take Dejan Lovren from Southampton.

The Saints want £15million for the Croatia World Cup defender and Spurs are ready to rival any bid made by the Merseysiders.

Liverpool are firm favourites to lure Lovren to Anfield with the promise of Champions League football.

But new Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, who brought Lovren to the Premier League last summer for £8.5m, is hoping his relationship with the 24-year-old could yet swing a deal in the north Londoners' favour.

Lovren, who would play Europa League football at White Hart Lane rather than the Champions league football on offer at the Reds, rebuilt his reputation impressively under Pochettino at Southampton after a difficult time at his former club Lyon.

He is now seen as one of the best defenders in the Premier League and Pochettino wants his leadership quality in the centre of his defence.

Tottenham conceded 53 goals in the League last season, seven more than the previous campaign.

Their defensive frailties saw them humiliated home and away by West Ham, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Liverpool are close to signing last night's hat-trick hero Xherdan Shaqiri after reports that his agent is in England to discuss terms with the Merseyside club.

According to transfer extraordinaire Gianluca Di Marzio, a deal is close to being struck to lure the Swiss international to Anfield.

The highly coveted winger has an abundance of experience, and at the tender age of just 22 has already secured two Bundesliga titles, and a Champions League winners medal with perennial champions Bayern Munich.

The former Swiss footballer of the year has been linked to Premier League clubs on a number of occasions.

However his sterling performances for Ottmar Hitzfeld's side throughout the World Cup has intensified talk of a summer exit.

Shaqiri has two years remaining on his current Bayern deal, and is valued at a whopping £17m.

If the Reds were to land their man, it could significantly reduce the likelihood of Southampton's Adam Lallana leaving St. Mary's in the summer.

Liverpool look set to beat Arsenal and Tottenham to the signing of Belgium striker Divock Origi.

The 19-year-old has impressed for his nation at the World Cup and came off the bench to score a dramatic 88th-minute winner in the 1-0 victory over Russia - a result which sent the Belgians through to the last 16.

Tottenham and Arsenal have been linked with the Lille striker, but Liverpool have reportedly emerged as favourites to sign him with a £6 million bid and the offer of him being loaned back to Lille next season mooted.

Origi is also keen on a move to the Premier League, saying: "As a little boy I always dreamed of playing in the Premier League but I'm still young and now I'm in an important tournament so I'm try to focus on the team."

If Liverpool were to sign Origi and send him back out on loan, he would then be expected to team up with manager Brendan Rodgers for the start of the 2015-16 campaign.

Origi would be Rodgers' third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Rickie Lambert from Southampton for £4m and Bayer Leverkusen's Emre Can for £9.75m.
