Apparently, Moreno is almost a done deal. Still don't understand why we need him. We got Can now as well who could fill in the LB position if necessary.

Why not? We don't have a LB and rotating players out of their natural positions isn't a preferred method.

LIVERPOOL are growing frustrated with Southampton's demands for Adam Lallana and are set to turn their attentions to Chelsea target Lazar Markovic instead.

Southampton are holding out for £30m for Lallana while Liverpool are sticking to their take-it-or-leave-it £25m offer.

The Saints are insisting that the Anfield outfit pay the full amount as they owe Bournemouth 25 per cent of any fee.

Liverpool reportedly want the matter settled one way or another by the end of this week and that has seen Brendan Rodgers revive his interest in Benfica winger Markovic.

Reports suggest that Liverpool looked closely at trying to sign Markovic last summer, only to be told that Benfica wanted £30m for the 20-year-old.

But it is thought that the Portuguese club have now dropped their valuation to £25m, which is more palatable to Liverpool.

However, Rodgers could yet find that he has competition from Chelsea for the Serbian winger.

The Blues came close to signing Markovic while he was at Partizan Belgrade only for the deal to fall.

It is claimed that the Stamford Bridge outfit wanted to loan Markovic to Benfica for two years but the player decided to cut out the middle man and join the Lisbon club outright.

At the time, Markovic said of Chelsea: "They didn't sign me. That's their mistake."

And it seems that Markovic could yet come back to haunt Chelsea in a Liverpool shirt unless Southampton soften their stance.

erm.. what about Enrique? We have him as our number one LB, Flanagan as second choice, Smith or what ever his name is as third and even Can if everyone else is unavailable. Moreno is a fantastic player but we already have a good LB.

If Moreno is a fantastic player why would you settle for a good player (Enrique)? Flano is a natural RB and this where we need him. BR doesn't rate Enrique and personally i think we need to do much better then Jose ,i have no problem with him staying as a squad player but we should really upgrade our FB's situation.

I like the thought of Lallana and I hope we get him. Moreno looks a cracking prospect so I'm excited about the idea of bringing him in. Can is good for depth and Lambert is a steal for what we've paid. I'd like to see a centre back come in, have we been linked with any at all yet?

Rakitic is the one I'd go for, he's a midfielder (a position where we are weak) and as long as we keep Suarez we will have 5 top forwards (Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling, Coutinho and Lambert) fighting it out for just 3 places.
That's plenty, especially when other area's of the team are more in need of reinforcement.

Yes, I've been hoping that we go for Rakitic for a while now but it's not going to happen. I mentioned it a few times on here as well.

I don't think that we need a popular name for our attack because we're pretty good with what we already have, we just need the depth, and Konoplyanka for the reported 12 million would be a good signing. Then we'll have 6 attackers fighting for 3-4 places (depending on formation) + a few youngsters (Ibe and co) which would be more than enough.

I don't have a problem with BR not rating Enrique. I have a problem with BR rating Johnson higher than Enrique. I think he's wrong if he thinks that we're more in a need of a LB than a RB.

The latest rumour is that we're offering Agger to Barcelona + cash for either Pedro or Alexis Sanchez.

Good deal for all concerned as long as we get a replacement for Agger aswell. Lovren for example.
