Lindergaard, Giggs, Young, Jones, Evans, Anderson, Nani, Fabio, smalling, Hernandez, valencia, Fletcher,Macheda, Buttner, Zaha.
....and thats their second string.

Those players named, are as good as our first team.

For you to mention Mecheda, Buttner, Fabio and Zaha is quite perculiar. Zaha isnt half as good as Raheem Sterling.

Fletcher hasnt player for united in 2 years ?

The only 3 players i would make a case getting in our first 11 are Valencia, Nani and Hernandez

We'll laugh off some of the names he's mentioned but looking a their bench, any from the likes of Kagawa, Jones/Smalling/Evans, Nani, Young, or Hernandez would certainly improve our starting 11. You could even argue that 3 or 4 of their backup options would make our starting 11 which goes to show the difference in DEPTH between the 2 squads.

I know much has been said about us improving the squad as a whole this summer rather than the starting 11 but I just dont see it. Not in terms of quality and certainly not in terms of quantity.

Yep I agree - I don't see the improvement both in first 11 and definitely not in the squad. Quantity wise we have gone backwards - more departures than arrivals. Quality wise - I'm not sure , too early to tell on some players.

Which is somewhat ironic considering the CL undertone to all your posts.

Actually swap ironic for hypocritical.

We haven't got a hope for CL - where as we have a chance for the Carling Cup.
