Rumour of the day - For the miserable tw@ts amongst you

Liverpool Football Club - The Rumour Mill

Lets take 2 minutes out from slamming the owners for not supporting BR and recall the club strategy:

For the past 12 months we've promoted identifying under-used or under valued players and saying 'come to Anfield and we'll give you a chance, the rest is up to you'. Sturridge, Coutinho, Aspas, Toure etc.. and it's working out very nicely.

Now someone got into into his head we're in the market for a 30 million+ star striker.  Why? Where did that come from?

We went in for Willian because we sensed a fire side sale when teh owner put the whole squad on the market and were blown away at the first challenge from Spurs - no doubt we were trying to get him on the cheap.

There will be no 30 million rated player coming to Anfield, the owners have stated their game plan but over excited fans led by Billy Goldenballs want to mislead us that we're now competing with Chelsea (Abramovich's billions) and the Spuds (Bale's 90 million). Its not true. We have a strategy and we are persuing it. I know its not exciting but.......

Furthermore, all our 1st choice players have slipped away from us so why are certain fans happy to waste 30 million on 3rd and 4th choices?

School was never this exciting in my day.

Agreed. But why shouldn't that be complimented with buying someone the manager wants at a cost?

After all if it's to make the team better what's the problem?

That someone would have been eh.... our manager Reg, Brendan Rodgers who wanted a star striker.

Yeah, never mind that Rodgers is going cap in hand to the owners to see if he can get loan Victor Moses (6th choice then) to see if they can sanction a 2 million loan deal, that's more up their ally.

If Rodgers somehow gains some sort of success here at LFC I don't believe it will be because of FSG but it will be in spite of them.

At least I never had to tick school meals up in my day.

Really hope the Moses rumours are untrue, surely we have the money for someone better.
Chelsea get the player we wanted, Willian, we then take one of their cast off's off their wage bill in a loan deal.

Been doing the rounds on other forums, not sure any foundation in it or if it's with an option to buy.
Just a rumour.

Moses is not the "next level" player we need to get to the top4. Infact he's horrible!! He runs down dark alleys, and has no awareness what so ever.

We are 2 good players away from really challenging, and we have done this without spending much. The owners need to help BR and support him before its too late again and more of our good players want to leave.

Agreed Moses fits perfectly into the category I like to call "The Donkeys" also known as "The headless Chicken" ,a club our own Ryan Babel was a senior member.

Not the position and not the player we need.

I was having a good day. Did you really have to mention Ryan. What a frustrating b.ugger he was. I had really high hopes for him but he never quite made it to the next level.

I'm surprised people are being so critical of FSG over transfers. It was they who wanted Rodgers to work with a DOF on transfers but he refused and instead now heads up a "transfer committee" who determine the price and wage ceiling for transfer targets. Henry and Werner are not part of the committee, Ayre and the scouts we hired from Man City last year are, but it's headed up Rodgers from what I understand. We have bid big for the likes if Micky Ryan, Diego Costa and Willian but ultimately they have all chosen to play at Champions League clubs next year.

Certainly not for Shako, he plays in PSG, a team that plays in the Champions League. Considering that particular fact, I can't see why would Shako want to come here. PSG offer CL football and bigger wages.

Do you need to be Einstein to spell his name right at least?

Do you really think that the owners dont have final say on the money being spent ?
