I haven't slapped my "better part " as you so wonderfully put it. If it turns out that Sterling has hit the young lady then he should be punished heavily

Apparently Arsenal are close to signing Luis Gustavo for 17-18m. Hopefully eating into their transfer kitty meaning less for any bid for Suarez

As a replacement for Suarez you mean? The guy is way past it, he isn't anywhere near good enough. As for squad depth, we already have enough strikers, if Suarez stays.

He is only 30 and past it ? We might as well retire Gerrard now mate. And what depth at striker ?

I'm not saying he's past it because of his age, I'm saying he's past it because of what I've seen from him for the last two seasons.

As strikers we have Suarez, Sturridge, Borini and even Aspas, all of them competing for 1 position. That depth at striker.

Well I wouldn't count Suarez just yet , Sturridge keeps getting injured so that leaves Borini ( made of paper ) who can't score and Aspas who is unproven.

Lopez would have provided a very good option to score goals and also provide an outlet. Lyon have struggled in recent years due to the money arriving in the country but it shouldn't detract from his obvious talent.

Like I said, we'll have enough strikers IF Suarez stays. If he leaves, I'd be very disappointed if we sign Lisandro Lopez as his replacement.
