A player I've always rate, I wonder how far are West Ham are with that bid?  If it were close I'd be thrilled for us to put in a bid for him.. Even upward of £20 million doesn't seem bad for somebody who scored 31 goals in 42 league and cup games last season.

Although I suspect that maybe they are trying to get us to push the Carroll deal through by letting us think they're interested in somebody else.  They way they've spoken there's no way they would try to bring both.

I think we would only see someone like Negredo arrive if Suarez was to leave .

Need a couple or quality CB's first

With Carlton Cole leaving this year i think they could well be looking for two forwards Carroll and Negredo.

I would be very surprised if West Ham spend over £30mil on two strikers - expect its one or the other

Yea I'm somewhat just assuming Suarez will be leaving.

And West Ham had said they couldn't afford Carroll at the £17 million rate we originally asked, so at 15 they've basically paid for about half his wages, and I assume they won't really be doing anymore in business this summer if Carroll ends up there.  Cole won't go for much at all as he's disappeared (thank god we didn't buy him when he was playing well) and any money they may get would probably go towards affording the Carroll deal.  There's no way they can afford Negredo either way, because he's worth more than Carroll.

On this Mkhitaryan guy don't really know too much about him. Is he an attacking midfielder or a forward his goals to game ration is better than 1 in 2

he`s an attacking midfielder mate, doesnt look anything special until he gets in the final 3rd but once there he`s got decent acceleration and the finishing instincts of a top center forward. he`s got  great long range shooting ability too.
look at the positions he takes up here,he often gets ahead of the forwards which is something our mids dont do (bar maybe hendo)

Sounds like something we need and at 24 still got a few years. Ive heard rumours he has said he deseves big money. Well is that a player we want in the club?

i think the most important thing is that we desperately need goals from midfield, if this lad can solve that problem, well...whatever he earns, good luck to him.

No way Benny. This guy is only useful in the final third. I'd be disappointed if we used him as a DM. I would rather we sign a real DM, e.g. Wanyama/Diame.

He was a pretty useful DM so during the match if needed he can also fill in when required

If there's no one to cover, then yeah, I guess we'll have to make do. Otherwise, I don't think he'll be much of a use for us as a DM. Not in the Prem. anyway.

He seems like a player who plays whatever position he's playing... If they have him as a DM, he plays as a DM.  If they have him as an AM, he plays as an AM.  You won't see many highlights of him as a DM because DMs don't score much.  It doesn't mean he wasn't good at it, it's just a lot more exciting to watch 5 minutes of ridiculous goals than 5 minutes of breaking up play.

His diversity is also the reason I feel he could play as a striker for us.
