Haven't seen him play but sincerely doubt that at only 20yrs old the lad will be the answer or even part of the answer to our current defensive problems.

Did anyone notice last night Dejan Lovren the Croat who plays for Lyon started following LFC ?
He only follows 33 accounts, when someone tweeted him asking why he follows Liverpool and is there any news he just replied saying, why not follow LFC and laughed

He then retweeted loads of our fans tweets.

He is a centre half mate.
Being honest i've heard of him but haven't really watched him play so couldnt say.

The echo says we're not in for Lovren but we are in for the kid tiago lloris from Lisbon.

Saw a bit of Lovren in europa this year - nowt special. Never seen the other lad play.

Lovren has had a bit of a falling out with his manager and hasn't played much in recent months

Solid centre back - not sure if he has the commanding presence required

that papadopolous lad looks exactly the type of player we need.

yeah, just reading that he has been heavily linked with chelsea, united and city.
bit of a blow that, he would have been perfect for us, him and agger would have made a tremendous CB pairing imo.

agree.
personally id rather see kelly given a decent run alongside agger or skyrtel(if he stays). carragher mach 2 if given a chance but should rodgers bring in his own reinforcements then kelly's chances will be limited

Wouldn't mind Wisdom being given a go in the middle

I think we'll see Kelly get a chance at centre back sometime next season, so far he's always been a full back in the first team.  But he's built like a centre half and surely that's where he'll spend the bulk of his career, whether that's here or somewhere else depends on his development.

Wisdom is also a good prospect, but he's not first choise centre half material next season and is 2-3 years younger than Kelly.  Rodgers is doing the right thing blooding him at full back for now.  Wisdom will probably get less games next season than he did this season.  He wasn't really ready for first team this season but did ok, he had to be used so much the squad was so small.  The Goodison derby showed where Wisdom is at - Mirallas took him to the cleaners that day.  I think a loan to maybe a championship side would be a good idea for him next season if we can spare the numbers.
